it really is a testament to EH and team. Like Gordon, he looked a bit of a flop when he first arived but has made great improvements and is begining to look like an exciting player
Proud of the boys and the staff this season, through one of the worst injury crises seen, to only drop a few league places is stellar. Up tha toon! HWTL!
What a season we've had, honestly. Beat the mackems, potential Euro spot in our hands, good cup runs, robbed in Europe not to finish 3rd in the group of death. Horrendous injury list, big, hard draws in every cup, with entertaining football, this team can hold it's head up high. Final Push HWTLs

What I luv bout Eddie Howe as our Boss is that even though we hav so many injuries this season. His game still constantly intense, keep pushing & attacking in all competition. His desire to win is truly something else, People also gotta remember this is the first time we r truly goin at it in all 4 competitions after so many many years of out in first round or fighting relegation. Really proud & grateful of him, I'm with Eddie Howe all the way.. #NUFC #ToonArmy #HWTL
lets be real chelsea are in their best form all season bournouth in bad form right now and our away record is piss poor i can see us drawing to brentford while chelsea beats bournmouth and man utd lose to brighton
I love this manager. He feels the pain and lives this club. We need to get behind him and give him all our support. Its been a tough season and you can see that on his face. I'd love him to win a trophy at Newcastle, he deserves at least that. Really so proud of this team and our Club......In Eddie we trust ❤️🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍
What a man. What a team. Sunday will be a very interesting day and it makes a change that we aren't looking at the final day worrying about relegation. Some fans need to remember that
@yogihightower what was Alex Fergisons exuse when he started at man U. And finished 11th the first 3 seasons then 13th the fourth?. Was he a crap manager aswell?. How about chelsea who have spent 8 times more on players than us. Or Liverpool. Is clop a crap manager aswell?. We need to get real.
We know that Newcastle are owned by very successful people who will run the club professionally despite the obstacles that the cartel are putting in front of us. Yes every thing will be looked into the good and the bad. Professional people like PIF do not rest on their laurels.
Need to prove your worth lads Eddie isnt on the field with you, its down to you your playing for your jobs because i really think some of yous just ain’t cut out to move forward for the big games . We need better quality players brought in i trust edde but he just hasn’t got the quality he deserves
Well done Eddie and lads on a frustrating season but one where we have done very well considering our shocking injury list. Roll on next season with some positive signings made in the summer. HWTL
Eddie and the squad have my full support and i know it's a process that takes time but it's frustrating when we have the quality on the pitch and we bottle it. Man Utd was always gonna be tough, it always is for us but that BHA game was horrendous.
I would just like to say I take my Hat off to Eddie and to all his Staff who continue to do Incredible job in the worse injury crisis I’ve known. Nobody will be more Frustrated than Eddie but they is no doubt he has our Club at Heart and will Do everything to bring some quality next Season. But Eddie needs A Rest I hope he gets it and Enjoys some well earned time with Wife and Boys. Will miss his Press Conferences.🌑⚽️🖤🤍
Tired of the social media and you tubers tearing the team and Eddie to pieces, nobody has had to deal with an injury list relative to the squad depth that we have, both he and the lads have done a fantastic job under extraordinary circumstances ❤️🖤🤍
A horrendous season in terms of injuries and yet we’re still gonna finish top 8 - in spite of the over expectation based on last season, I still think we’ve had a reasonable season, perhaps haven’t reached the levels and consistency we wanted but overall upward trajectory. Important to recruit in key positions GK, CB, DM, RW and striker. Even if free transfers / seasoned PL players who can add to the squad - then summer 2025 buy big once revenue streams become available.
I agree, issue is the big 6's protection raquet that is FFP. Most of those championship level players are quite old with very little resale value, and with our squad so small it's difficult to see how we replace them all with quality. Honestly I think both us fans and the ownership are realising just how big a project this is, and just how much our hands are being tied by the big 6 and their super league wanting yank owners.
the fact is we have to think about a player in terms of how much we would get for them vs how much they are worth to us. eg Longstaff - how much would we get for him and how much more than that would we ned to pay to get a player of like ability never mind better ability. Amortisation feels like a money multiplier but it really isnt. with FFP e need to kee ahead of players unless we are replaceing them and the squad revamp will be drip by drip. we have a lot of players below what we want but for now they will have to do. probably need to sell almiron and get a winger or sell wilson and get a striker, we certainly cant didtch any who are below the elite level we dream of
It's massively disappointing that we had it all in our hands against Man Yoo and we failed. It's a must win on Sunday and it shouldn't have been that way. HWTL
@@peternufc1981 This is the poorest Man Yoo team since the early 80s as their goal difference alludes to and we should have done much more. Mind ye, Aussie Jarred Gillett states he is a fan of Liverpool, after that penalty miss on VAR I beg to differ.
@@peternufc1981bottle it, Bit severe did they run away from the task ahead of them ?. No, Did they fall to pieces in awe of Manure, No. we have a mix of players who are top grade, middle grade & lower grade. Some are nearing the end of their professional game at the top and there are several who are not 100% fit which in turn affects your effectiveness nearing the end of a long season.
A couple of years ago being disappointed with 7th or 8th place would have been a fantasy. Must stick with Howe and continue to build and develop the side to become increasingly competitive.
I’m a life long toon fan from the city. But I’d rather not have us play in Europe if it’s the conference league, would rather have just our domestic cups and league to concentrate on next season then get back into the champions league better and stronger for season after.
Eddie is disappointed you can clearly see that I’m so Proud Eddie is our Manager I’m sure he knows what’s needed going forward I’m 100 % know he will get it right I be gutted if we lose Bruno to premier league club .Eddie I Trust.🌑⚽️
Same old every weekend, people say Eddie is repetitive and saying the same thing to con fans, it’s bs. He can only answer the same old questions that are always asked over and over. Journalism is indeed shite and it makes the managers look bad sometimes.
Still picking myself off the floor, but I'm confident in the big picture. That said, they must win Sunday. One trend last 3 seasons under Eddie is they close the season strong. Hopefully, it's a trend we see continue. Too many years it's been a relegation battle.
The only way to save VAR is to eliminate the VAR "official." Use semi-automated review for offside, and move to a limited number of coach challenges system. When a decision is challenged, the on-field ref reviews it and decides without any input from anyone else. Barring a change like that, scrap it altogether. We have more than enough proof that the current system is untenable.

wont happen simply cos of the FFP limitations. we can only afford to change 2 or 3 at a time.Even those who are underperforming - longstaff, almiron will need to stick around as cover unless their position is being brought in
would pick murphy over barnes until Barnes learns how to press. he's rubish at that. can Anderson play on that side? I dont think Big Joe is ready for a full game yet
If we do get conference league I guess we’ll have to make do with that. Always wanted Europa league that’s our competition. Grew up watching us play in the UEFA Cup season in season out back in the days. Miss that competition. Conference league just isn’t the same. It’s a new competition and it feels like a reject competition. Oh well. Still a good season with our injuries. Howe has done well.
Sad that the 6th place dream is dead now. I hope we can just get a simple win against Brentford, maybe if Chelsea lose their next game then we can get 6
Come on boys! Gutted I couldn’t make the Brentford game, hope our away fans raise the roof and get behind the boys, I don’t want a single fan still having their voice in tact the morning after! Come on boys we can get Europe again. Be absolutely great to get conference league but imagine if Chelsea lose? We could get europa! Come on lads!!🎉👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍
Unfortunately I believe we are bound to 8th place. See how they react to the pressure but I just don't think we will win away to Brentford. Prob we will draw and united shall take us. Chelsea only need 1 point so forget 6th. Realistically for as much as it hurts 8th is the real position and still flattering considering the crap squad we really have. If Bruno got injured not Joelinton for example we would prob be finishing below 10th. The decalage between the first eleven if no one was injured, etc to the alternatives is too big to ignore. We can put out a good eleven but our bench with what we have is always gonna be mediocre. Who are we really keeping in this team for next year even considering squad depth: Pope, Dubravka, whoever,, Hall, Burn, Botman, Schaar, trippier, livramento, bruno, Joelinton, Willock, Tonali, Miley, Anderson, Barnes, Gordon, Isak. That is 18 players of quality or at least unproven potential, we can consider a base. Minteh coming back, 19 We need 23/24. 5 signings: 1 LB, 1 CB, 1 Real Artist on the ball(or keep Murphy), 2 strikers(mandatory, long season, as cheap as possible with the maximum potential you can find). If Willock is out of the cards completely then we need someone else there as well. All said 😂
That should have been about 10 minutes top, given that the tools in the audience kept asking the same questions over and over. Journalism is practically dead.
@@edwardgaunt7307 They're scared to upset him and not get access to shoot their personal videos in the Newcastle facilities. They're protecting him and it is unfair to previous managers that rightly got challenged. He needs to be asked tough questions to know he cannot be tactically complacent
@edwardgaunt7307 English manager plus English media = easy ride. I have said this once I will say it again: if his name was Eduardo Howez he'd have been crucified by the press a long time ago.
7:30 Yes, Newcastle have done "okay", but, yet again, no silverware, nothing to put next to your name in the years to come. Just another "okay" season; similar to avoiding relegation or winning "the best goalscorer" EPL title.
Good he shouldn’t be happy there not doing what he’s asking. And the reason why is because some of them are not good enough to cope either the pressure and some of them haven’t got the quality
We are Bournemouth utd at this point. Team selection is insane, wide open without the ball, gifting possession away like u12s do and choking when the pressure is on.
Two faced fans, mind numbingly predictable answers by Eddie, players playing and wanting to play when they’re not right, no depth, and stupid annoying questions from local media asking the same thing again and again. That’s our season.
@@mikem9309 he runs thats all he does and still produces shite every single match, anyone can look busy but its pointless running if you cant stick the odd foot in. He is absolutely shite, acadmy players are better

with eddie howe and trippier, newcastle is like an aston martin, jaguar or ferrari without an engine. an aston martin, ferrari or a jaguar with an engine means MOURINHO and the real captain BRUNO!!! eddie howe and trippier are like southgate and the three lions. a tournament without nothing. this season with howe and trippier after last season?a DISASTER at all!!! newcastle deserves CL!!! newcastle deserves titles and trophies. with howe and trippier newcastle will win experiences in failure,up and downs, and at the end of the season nothing!!! MOURINHO is the solution, because MOURINHO is SIR BOBBY ROBSON!!!
But Jack , no team have been as injury hit so badly as we have ( except either Brighton or Bournemouth I can’t remember which ). Most of the top 10 teams started the season with strongish to full strong squads whereas we probably had about 15 good to decent starters then the injuries started . At one point we even had no out and put strikers starting. It’s only the last few games where the cartel loving media have pointed out the likes of Manure having been hit very hard as of trying to get their excuses in early.
We all know why we have been rubbish and now touch n go if we get Europe, weak management, weak players and mentality, picking players who just aren't good enough when we now have had good options from the bench, Longstaff is shocking, Murphy is shocking, Dubravka is a disgrace but eddie sticks with his favourites, massive summer clear out needed, and if dan burn starts at left back next season there should be riots.
Don’t understand where your coming from with you comment. You say we’ve got a squad full of weak players so whose left for the ‘weak management’ to pick a strong 11 and a strong bench which the majority of us know that for the majority of the season we have had our stronger players off injured, playing through injury or returning too quickly from injury. Our squad started the season thin on the ground because we are not allowed to make major overhauls , Yet.
@stephennutkin2477 yes, we have weak player's, that's why we bottled the cup final against Manchester United, that's why we bottled the quarter final against Chelsea in the EFL Cup, that's why we bottled the champions league game at home against AC Milan, and yesterday, bottled winning the game when it mattered to get into Europe, all games when it MATTERED, Pope, Joelinton, Barnes all available but eddie keeps faith with his favourites, the season has been down to a lot of bad luck, and a lot of pathetic management from Eddie and the staff.
You know nothing about football. Eddie is the best manager we have had for several years. Get behind the team and the staff and stop being negative... otherwise go support sunderland.
Delusional comments re Eddie. I like him and has done well to-date BUT he isn’t the man to take us to the next level. He isn’t a winner; there will be no silverware under his tenure. A pity but if you want more of the same and to be perennial underachievers stick with Eddie. Time for more ruthlessness and a stronger, winning mentality
It isnt time for the next level. he isnt the man for the top levels but he is the guy to manage this middle ground. we cannot but as we want to and so changes are gonna be drip by drip. no elite manager is going to go for that. a few more years of EH and we may be ready for the Elite manager and the Elite levels
It took 2 -3 further appointments for city before getting Pep and to turn them into the elite team/club that they are now. Hughes steadied the ship; Mancini took 2nd season to win fa cup then EPL. Howe = better version of Hughes. He’s no Mancini, Pelligrini or Pep. I just don’t feel he’s a winner & I want to avoid choking in the big games - a habit we can’t shake off for well over 50 years. We need the monkey off our back of winning silverware and I just can’t see Eddie doing it. Good coach, man manager but not a great one. It will take 5-8 years to get the elite appt. We need someone who will make the lads mentally stronger, silverware winners and probably someone else thereafter to turn us into a consistently successful elite-winning force thereafter. I accept Eddie is to stay 24/25 but no silverware this time next year and it’s over for him imo. We can’t remain a ‘nearly’ team. 53 odd years of supporting and even that description [nearly] applies on too few occasions. No way should we have lost on Wed. A stronger manager would have ensured we did not. Hoping I’m proved wrong as I like the guy; he’s been great for us
Extremely proud of everyone involved with the club, alls we can do is do our jobs and beat Brentford and hope Bournemouth can get a win at Stamford Bridge HWTL!!🖤🤍
Everyone is hoping on too many other parameters now to try & get European something but we should have beaten manure while they have a terrible team but once again couldn’t pull it off & also we should have turned Everton over . I understand all our injuries but there two games we could have won with the current squad. I am now closing the book. August fresh start, No injuries, Tonali back etc. 🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍👍🏆 Love the Toon.
