Funny... the car was a 3 cylinder Chevrolet Sprint. Probably a holdover from the gas shortage in the late 70s. Lol.

And the car? A 1985 Chevy Sprint which was a Suzuki in Chevy clothing. At the time it was only available on the West coast.

It was at its best in #15. Because if the board stopped at Pick A Corner or Move One Space, the tone in Peter's voice would entice the player to take it.

The car was in #5 from September 28 to December 2, 1983, #13 from December 5, 1983 to January 30, 1984, #5 from January 31 to February 27, 1984, #15 from February 28, 1984 to April 11, 1985, #5 from April 12 to June 20, 1985, and #15 from June 21, 1985 to the end of the run.

They should've had a variety of cars between $8 & $10 thousand, which was respectable at the time instead of the junker $5k ones.

You have to understand this was in the 80s and the top amount was $5000 it’d be unfair to have a $8,000-$10K plus car back then

@@lboog0907no, it isn't unfair for the 80s. In the 60s thru the mid 70s, $5k was a pretty good car. Inflation during the late 70s & early 80s meant cars began reaching $10k by the mid 80s.

@@seanjefferies9992 Some of the motorboats were also over $5000, IIRC. (And the tent trailer peaked out at $5684)

@erikdraven1731 that must've been later in the series run then. I know the tent trailer in the 1984 eps was in the high $4000 range. Close to $5000 bit just under. Mid to late 85-1986 eps they were probably worth more.

@@guyfierimtwi Exactly so True!! Perfect example Nov.1983 2 months after nighttime Wheel Of Fortune debut-contestant named Teresa won a $60,000 replica 20.s car along with her regular win from the front game.$63,493 was her total if my memory is correct.
