For everyone asking why: I have a small sheep farm and I've been toying with this for a while. My small flock would never eat a whole round of silage before it spoiled. And hay is not a complete feed alternative for sheep. For anyone with a small number of animals that need high quality feed this is a terrific idea
Normally you have to use all haysilage within 4-5 days. If you only have 1 or 2 horses then a round bale is just so much waste. In addition most ladies prefer handling a small bale and not a big round bale.
@@AltijdMatthijs for a seller yes, but not for using them like above with horses and someone said with sheeps it's wasted if you can't use it before it goes bad 🤦🏼♂️
Not in Europe. It’s really difficult to get the hay completely dry & wrapping means you can store them outside. For horses there’s less dust in the forage too.
Hi, see my answer to Aidan White, there´s another explanation as well, urban horse dwellers, or what to call them, "city horses" maybe? Made money out of that when we had our farm to sell to these type of people, but sometimes very hard to get paid, hence always cash on delivery or pay in advance/at pickup
It is not, not if you do it in the correct area, with lots of horses and riding schools etc nearby, they pay a idiotic amount of money for their little whiny horse-babies and feed for them It´s almost like these stupid animals never was made to be outside and eating non farmed grass ever in their evolution, hence those people pay dumb sums of money to get this type of feed Only issue is to get paid from those horseowners, never ever sell to horse people or cowfarmers without getting money on the account before delivery
@@danne77sthlm Absolutely correct: They often drives "SUV´s" to pull theyr horse-trailers, spending all their money for saddles, other items and first class hospitality for theyr nag, and at the end of the month the wallet is more than empty! But one fact is true as well: With no other thing it is so easy to take the peoples money out of theyr wallet that with a Pet!
No, not in comparison to the alternatives. The Inagra wrapper beats all other small bale wrapper alternatives in speed. When you have a field with 1800 small bales then speed is an issue.
