Today I’m canning chickpeas and creating a hummus to open up and blend !
Add olive oil also when blending I forgot to add that part in the video !
Recipe is from the book
Pressure canning for beginners and beyond by Angi Schneider
1 lb dried garbanzo beans pre soaked overnight rinsed and simmered 30 minutes or use quick soak method
In each pint jar
1 c beans ( approximately) as seen in the video
2 1/2 tbsp sesame seeds
2 cloves garlic
1/4 c lemon juice
1/2 tsp cumin
1 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp salt
Pressure can 75 minutes
Upon opening jar
Blend until smooth
Add 1 to 2 tbsp olive oil
Sprinkle with Smoked paprika
