@@TheBritishAce plus with the announcements , huge variety of liveries and station details it feels like JT have set the new standard for DLC routes

Units 142015 to 142027 were delivered brand new to the South West of England for use on local services in and around Devon/Cornwall. Being worked on the Western Region the use of Mock Chocolate and Cream made sense given those colours history with the Great Western Railway and BR Western Region beforehand. As for being called Skippers, it was the winning entry to name the units in a completion that was held.

Just from a quick search, it seems it is Western Region Chocolate & Cream. So, guessing some of these made their way north for whatever reason

​@@TheBritishAcea combination of reliability, issues with excessive noise from the flange squeal that caused complaints from passengers and residents, the wear to the wheelsets from going around the tight curves meant they had to be taken out of service to have the tyres reprofiled, would struggle up some gradients up some routes. Also meant that earlier dmu's they were meant to replace had to be pressed back in to service aswell as put on loco hauled services using coaching stock wherever it could be found. In the end it was decided to send them up north with their sister units.
