Yes! I agree fully! Maybe we could convince her to share her deepest secrets! Wait! Videosecrets along her usual awesome potterysecrets. (The others she can keep! We want her awesomeness, that we can replicate in theory!)
@@PotterytothePeople So you COULD, make a video together with her. I really like the font stuff. And I really want to know how you can setup the camera and just talk. My head would either go blank or all scrambled up. It was never a problem on stage or in school / university. I taught whole class rooms, but that was vastly different. I could see, when I was too fast or slow or confusing
Way to go, we'll done, my tutor got me centering an 8lb piece of clay. Never gone higher than 3. 5ib, my tutor makes beautiful bird baths, that her thing and I wanted to have a go. If it survives the kiln, I'll post you a photo. I'll keep a close eye on your make, maybe I can do what your doing, I've just watched this episode via RU-vid so I know what you got to do. It looks amazing x ❤🎉😊
always looking forward to your new uploads. your videos are awesome. so informative and also fun! haven’t found another youtuber that compares to you. please keep on making them🩵
So pretty! The contrast between the red clay and the darker rocks very pretty. I've made a few solar powered foundations for my backyard birds. I live in the Pacific North West, so our sun can be spotty. The trick is to get the solar foundations with a battery back up. The battery will power it enough to cover the cloudy parts of the day.
So simple and elegant. I love every part of it. I know I have some suggestions and ideas for almost any of your projects, since they are all so inspiring, but nothing in this case. I just love it
I LOVE how optimistic you are all the time! I've watched a good few vids of you now and every time something goes 'wrong' you just roll with the punches and keep going. I really admire that!
Another amazing project!! I think the cracks gives it character... even if it got sealed up in the end. Also, that first throw is my definitely spirit animal haha
Oh I didn't know the Canadian one was already on air!!! I'm in the US and only recently managed to catch up on the UK one and I'd seen the Canadian one was "coming soon" through social media!
So lovely! I think the contestants in the fountain challenge focuesed a little too much on building impressive, complicated sculptures and didn't think about the fountain aspect or water direction nearly enough. Your structure is mostly about functioning as a birdbath and has a very clear direction for the falling water, which I think makes it much more impressive.
Thank you! Yes I know what you mean. I would probably do that too if I was actually on the show. Lucky that I’m not so I can make something I will actually want in my garden 😌😂
Faking it until you're making it is an excellent way to go about it 😊 And you know pretty well by now what your clay needs and wants. Yo girl, go girl, you're doing great 💝 And your dog doesn't mind either, so your good to go 🐕.
I love that you participate the challenges! I can't wait for the next episode. Watshing you doing all the challenges is just awsom. Designwise I would have made the spouts bigger and 4 of them (i have no idear witsh imput it would have on the funktion).
@@PotterytothePeople our winter was mild and we had very little snow. It’s not unusual to have snow in early April here on the East Coast. The temperature is just hovering around freezing and the snow will be gone in a couple of days. My daffodils are all poking out of the ground. It’s supposed to be warmer next week. Crocuses are blooming. I’m just tired of wearing my winter clothes.
This was SO COOL!! I’m so impressed!! The amount of things you’ve opened up my eyes to since I started watching your channel is wild!!! I always feel so capable and inspired after watching your videos :)
Even with all the negatives (hoping things improve next season), I've watched all the episodes. I really like your fountain and it could work indoors perfectly well, imho. Really enjoyed you potting in concert with the show, too.
I'm pretty obsessed with the Great Pottery Throw down, too. So far, I only hand build, and I haven't been doing it long. However, I want to one day do a fully functional toilet. 🤯😅 I've already been looking around because I know I will need to get to know different clays. Anyway, I hope you keep going with these different Pottery challenges and that one will end up being a toilet. 😊
I know you were knackered but had you made the top smallest part sit on a column twice as tall, it woulda been so sick 😄 also the colour of this clay is so beautiful!
We have all had that collapse and with me quite a number of times. We learn we need to pull up before out, but it doesn't always stick in our subconscious.
I love your videos!! Can you make one about throwing off the hump? I had never heard of that before the great canadian throwdown and it looks so interesting. What are the advantages/disadvantages etc.
Maybe it's a little crazy, but it'd be really cool if you did a wall-style fountain as well! One that focuses on trickling sounds instead of filling basins
Nice save and finish. But I do notice you get deep cracks pretty often, And I attribute that to several things: One: pieces are still wet and not completely bone dry, (could also help preheating the kiln, esp for larger projects: Two: Compressing the base if your bowls, (several passes with a rib, )to make sure the particles are nicely packed, And third: if you leave the bases of the pots too thick, causing cracks to form,
