Pretoria Girls' High alumni share their 'racist' hair experiences 

Yes, it's been like this in South Africa as long as I remember. Even in township schools while growing up under apartheid. We (boys and girls) had to shave our hair according to European settlers laws enforced on us. I am happy this topic is being addressed in South Africa.

You know l think that there are still a lots of people who are suffering Racism in silence, maybe some are afraid to speak because they are scared to lose their jobs or something. They say SA has about 3million Boers , that is a lot compared to how racists those people are, and they still employ Blacks as their gardeners and domestic workers. l really fear for our people, only if ANC government can create jobs so people don't have to stay and work in a racists environment even if they don't want to. People needs to learn to speak up.
