Shout out to Kev Mac....I love all the informative history about the Westside Crips...especially the stories from Cutes, Keith Stone, Monster Kody, and Mumpy, not to mention Pretty Boy. Essay from NELA Avenues 43. Gang of videos on us but, I love these KevMac shorts. I always wondered if I've met these characters in Juvenile Hall, Shout out to Black from Compton Crips. Met him at St.Johns School for boys 1976. Biggest afro I ever seen. Complete with cake cutter, blue silk muscle shirt, black polyester slacks with white stitching down the side and the black courderoy house slippers. True gangster even though just a teen.

This is a great tribute. It replaces the sadness with joy while you watch it. Kev, your work immortalizes the history and humanizes the men society tried to throw away. More of these brothers should to step up, if they can, and share their testimony, so that they are not just limited to narratives in a dehumanizing criminal records file.

I met him when he became part of the other group that his homie mentioned, and he was an inspiration to a lot and helped hundreds of people. That community is really feeling the loss as well. He freely gave what was given to him and is sorely missed. RIP Victor, “Pretty Boy” 🙏🏽♥️

Its mad how at one time they would of had a lot of respect from peers from his own hood and even other hoods in a violent time,then get older and all their peers are dead or lifted off so no one knows them as much,so KM at least puts them back in the lime light again after everything they been through
