"Preußens Gloria" ("The Glory of Prussia" or "Prussia's Glory") was composed in 1871 after the Kingdom of Prussia's victory in the Franco-Prussian War, which led to the unification of the German states into the new Prussian-led German Empire. As part of the victory parade of the returning troops, the march was performed for the first time in public in Frankfurt (Oder), where Piefke's garrison was based.

@@DerSingh0329 Bro I'm Dutch and I love the songs I feel very offended, also because I have German blood, (and Dutch blood of course) I love the land of my ancestors without it my family and blood line won't exits the father land of my ancestors is my father land, And Holland doesn't hate Germany our royal family came from Germany: William I, Prince of Orange was the first member of our royal family and the called father of the nation he was a German. And that we where invaded by Nazi Germany that doesn't make us dislike the song it's not even a Nazi song, I also have many friends who like the song. So I just disproved your claim :)

A very beautiful version of this great song by Gottfried Piefke. It sounds a bit more melodious, almost cheerful than in other versions. And the violins in the final part give this cheerful mood almost a symphonic character in this version. It is always nice to hear this old noble song newly interpreted and to discover new facets of it.

I ve finnaly found and bought a pickelhaube ive wondered through São Paulo biggest city of brazil almost the size of new york in all costumes stores for years then i move to the coutryside and in the small city i moved wich for brazilian metrics is a village i ve found today in the only costume store a pickelhaube a plastic one of course but i Prussian pickelhaube in brazil cost 1 500 reals at best this costed 45 a price i could afford
