I only stick to TM -Pro because I can mix and change water in 1 hr and it’s consistent. To each his own.

For salt I use whatever is on sale. I then adjust the alk & cal to match my tank when doing a water change

I get so AGGRAVATED when I see metal halides being used. We should save every where we can. LED has been proven to be able to grow corals just as well
