Looks exactly as I remember it looking when I was a kid. The added articulation, along with fixing the visible head syndrome, is just icing on the cake. The original was already one of the best Optimus toys Hasbro and Takara ever released. I'm curious if these guys have any plans for a Leobreaker and Wingsaber to go along with him. Leobreaker in particular is one toy with a lot of room for improvement, especially if they can figure out how to get some proper articulation out of savage claw mode, but I'm also not seeing any good place to slot him into Prime's shoulder like the original toy had. Wingsaber at the very least could reuse the inserts they're using for his wing pack, so he shouldn't pose much of an issue.
I’m thinking if they do a Leobreaker, he’ll come with a new trailer that has room for the arm to store into, which would be even more screen accurate. It looks like there’s a cavity in absence of the arm that a peg could at least partially fit into.
@@Jazz-cd5mu The problem is the + shaped hole the arms fit into isn't spring loaded and is very shallow so holding onto a leobreaker with a lot of bulk will be difficult. If he is very light and shrink down to core class size then it could work if the trailer was expanded.
@@TitanMaster12100 it's an overestimate. Their site also says Fans Hobby Energy Commander comes out in February yet I have one in my house already despite TFsource being located in the state next to mine. Most likely TR02 will be widely available somewhere in January.
It comes in a little plastic baggie with the figure. Not TECHNICALLY in the package, but included. I also did a double-take when I saw it had an Autobot symbol molded into it.
@@MunkyDrag0n wow no kidding it's almost like I've seen every episode of that show several times. The surprising part is not that it comes with a Force Chip, but that it has a trademarked logo molded into it, see Maketoys Galaxy Meteor for reference.
@@ChaosUnit178 Wow, you're right! Maybe not being on the toy itself and having alterations compared to the original key gave it a loophole. Still a very nice piece.
Ikr. It needs grey exhaust vents in the back of alt mode. It needs autobot symbols on each shoulder. It has certain details perfect but some are lacking compared to takara version. If that one wasn't so expensive I'd pass but i hope quality & articulation saves it.
@@tubalubsplaysdestiny9612 Unfortunately, yeah i agree no symbols can be added due to copyright. Those blank spots on the shoulders still leave something to be desired. I am so used to seeing the symbols. Oh, well. The torso to the legs look virtually perfect.
@@MunkyDrag0n it's not hard to find Autobot and Decepticon stickers to place on 3rd party figures like these. A lot of RU-vidrs who review 3rd party Transformers tend to slap one on whenever they review a new one. Just doing a quick Google search I found people selling entire sheets of them on etsy.
