Got to get it, but can't find it to pre order it at your store. Also would love to see you build it. Keep the great videos coming and I'll keep watching.
Tamiya always knocks it out of the park with these 1/12 motorcycles. The 1/9 scale motorcycles from the defunct Protar company were pretty impressive from about 1985 onward. Not Tamiya quality, but much bigger than Tamiya and impressive built up.
I believe that Tamiya sees their bike line as sort of a prestige product and they seem to put a little extra effort in the detail. And that's saying a lot when you look at Tamiya in general.
Maybe you are on to something but I find all their new kits to be super detailed. That new armored car (dont remember name) hull was moulded as seperate pices instead of a bathtub style hull in order to allow extra detail to be moulded. I think that ww2 armour collectors find details just as important as motorbike model collectors. But might just be me, I am no expert on these things.
If there is one area I would complain about Tamiya, it's in how they lay out their instruction. They can get very jumbled and chaotic at times. I'd like to see them make the instructions in color and have smaller steps.
hi Andy, another great review. no matter what they produce Tamiya have got it down 100% cprrect, and now I see how you get to your shop every day, be safe and careful.
I've pre ordered this kit and estimated delivery is December 29th. I just wish Tamiya would supply the carbon fibre decals because looking at the images shows there are a lot of parts with carbon fibre.
Most people have no problem saying Subaru correctly - SU ba ru - and yet most people insist on saying Tamiya incorrectly ! SU ba ru and therefore TA mi ya ! We don't say su BA ru and we should not say ta MI ya either ! 8-)
