Samples of Andrew Birch’s and my book on the flycatchers of North America have just come in. It doesn’t come out officially until April but here’s a preview of what’s inside. It’s a simple book, focused solely on maps, spectrograms and Andy’s beautiful illustrations. This one is about how to look and listen to Empidonax flycatchers and pewees. We kept it simple because our goal was to make it accessible to all including beginners. Stay tuned for more updates!
As always, with such a difficult complex of birds, our book is only a step. And of course, we own all mistakes!
