Love Cambodian foods love their dishes lots of exotics herbs less carb spicy but not too spicy , sweet fragrance mild sugary and not over-sweet with palm sugar, banana leaves , coconut skin ,sesame seeds! Delicious and nutritious Cambodian Delicacy!
There are not alot of Cambodian restaurants around so not many people can try the authentic Cambodian cuisine. I'm glad the food is getting some recognition.
I’ve been to Sophy’s 2-3 times and dine in. The food was good. Friendly service. I’ll try to make a visit this summer to show support. I like their fried calamari.
Authentic Khmer foods are hella delicious 😋 I'm not from California, so i won't be able to try out her restaurant. We do have Khmer joints here in Rhode Island & Massachusetts and them foods are bangin af also
Cambodian restaurants abroad will feature Thai food. And the name Thailand goes along with it. Why? Because of the variety of Thai food. And it is the food that is ranked in the world. Use the Thai name to guide you. Please don't imitate Thai food. Here, there are dishes that have been adapted to look like Thai food, namely Hom Mok and Khanom Jeen with coconut milk.

Who lied to you that Cambodians eat cats? Cats are highly praised animals or more accurately animals that are protected by the King’s order for their solitary and fearless nature, making them a good candidate to represent monarchy just like what the ancient Egyptians believe. Dogs on the other hand are democratic by nature for hunting and attacking in packs. I’ve never seen any dog meat as being the main source of protein nor delicacy in Khmer dishes, but even if they were to be (such as in rural villages) then it would make absolute sense for it’s only natural for One lion king to hate packed hyenas (monarchy VS democracy).
