That has a ton of life, great bones, generator looked pristine, and came to life like a champ. Plus no slides that we inevitably let you down or need seals. For 70 cash I'd jump.
go for it Andrew. It already has AZ plate on it....And only 110,000 Miles! Flat tow your car home behind it. Great platform on the top to go to sports car races!
Now we are talking Andrew! You are on to something with this one. Might be worth it to get a full chassis inspection and get some oil samples. Just a little smoke on start up. It would be clutch if the AC's are blowing cold air and the air system is leak free. The cabinets and counter tops look good and I kind of dig the hallway/full bath/ pass through closet setup. All electric is nice. I don't know how much it is to recover upholstery. It may be cheaper to just get new furniture but recovering those valances and recovering that purple trim is cheap. Manual MCD shades are reasonable as well. I think a full interior remodel update would be no more than what you spent on your Tiffin. Would you do 365's all around? What is that, $18,000 with tires? If the chassis inspection and oil samples come out good you might have a winner. If you don't take it I may:). Great video Andrew. Thanks Scott
Matt, yeah I'm digging the vibe of the post 60-70's pharmaceutical trance. I did note that the host did not fire up the generator which would allow the true color hues to be prominently displayed for a discerning evaluation from an illuminated interior.
We had a Marathon that was the exact floor plan as this. Our remodel was all done in shades of grey... very classy with no wild colors! If you are interested, we can send you photos of the interior. It was beautiful.
We sold it. The update cost $50K which included gray granite flooring gray Corian tops and all the wild colors were replaced with grays and silver. blacks. We’ve had a 40’ 2-slide Country coach and a 45’ Beaver Patriot Thunder and still miss our Prevost... (except for the single pane windows). If you’ve never driven a Prevost, don’t do it until you are ready to buy one!!! They are heaven going down the road.
I think that would be a better project than the $45k coach. Re-do the interior, can something be done about the narrow hallway? Better project than the previous.
Andrew really nice coach. It’s got everything in it you could possibly need. You forgot to say like Matt does Here we go now! Love when Matt says that when he goes on the roof. Thank you Andrew for showing this coach. Have a great weekend hope you had a great holiday. Stay safe and safe travels.
Rockstar in the FL Keys, could be jimmy Buffett old bus, the colors would fit for him back then. You may want to let Steve know how to pronounce the name correctly, its "pray vo" not 'pree vo" nice coach for 30 years old, way better deal than the other one he has. A call to MARATHON and you could probably get some history on that coach. As gawdy as it is (I-95 in NV ) stripper/cathouse kinda way, I kinda like the color scheme inside. Definitely looks good for its age and sounds like it runs halfway decent. Another great vid Andrew and as always stay safe and give Sadie some love for me.
Much better bus than the other one Andrew. All you need is an interior upgrade and new tires. If you are OK with a non slide it is not a bad option. Narrow hall way that is offset with the bigger bath room. Not a bad trade off.
Oh straight up PIMP!!!! With that coach you a bottle of Crown Royal and a permanent room at the bunny ranch! Hugh Hefner and his “wives” would love this bus! But that bus is pretty dope! Its not my colors but, i would ride it hard!
Great project bus and if only 110k miles, it’s got a lot of miles left to go. Looks like a great deal. Wish I had a network to do the interior reno and inspect and fix the mechanicals like you have. I’d go for it. I love the non-slide. No pending issues cause of faulty seals etc.
A little to old for me! I am at a point in my life where I don’t wanna work that hard to restore a coach although the purple is really cool. I was a touring musician previously in my life and that coach looks very familiar. !!!!! Thomyt
This one is just so much fun..if you can get all running features and know you have a good chasis and all that with your trade and the drive is a relaxing can do like you want......and you know your delam is ok for now..OMG..Vintage cool no problemo...this would be sooo fun..less money than the fire in the end. The bathroom and closet is just ideal...Really you are just recovering all surfaces you do not like; not changing the whole house in the end and maybe a wine/booze/pop fridge or ice maker for the trash compactor place...will not be dated...it is cool. When you are really really really there..I think a 1000 bucks to you for some calls and info comparing,,,yeah, good..I can see ready to jump even on ones that are not my categories..lol.
I can't stand this seller. He comes across as a con. He is fairly clueless on premium coaches but condescending and argumentative any time Andrew opens his mouth. Thanks but no thanks, even if it was a good deal, which it isn't. Btw, thanks for not putting the new batteries in before he got there, so we could test the coach. I guess driving from Az to Ca not enough time. Dude clearly hit s nerve with me.
Easy there Captin Jack. You got all worked up there like I was calling you out. Take it easy, that's what retirement is for, remember? What happened to easy like sunday morning? Ah, it's fine. Your probably just all worked up from being stuck inside with all the hurricanes blowing through Sarasota this time of year. Makes it hard get out there on the heritage in that kind of weather. Btw, didnt see you at Sturgis this year, must have just missed ya. Anyways, hope your having a better day today, supposed to be nice for a couple days, and say hi to Lucy for me. Ps, I think you should go for that 45k Country Coach. Seems right up your alley. And with all your IT experience, splicing that harness should be NBD. Might want to take it easy on the "bud" for that one though. A guys gotta be on point getting into a job like that, am I right?
i like this one. I would definitely watch you remodel it a little, detail the hell out of it, some upgrades, video material for months. Those 8v92 turbos have all the power you want.
That's a really useful interior layout. The 45 degree section of the kitchen makes for a great use of space, or so it seems looking at it. Thanks Andrew, another useful video. 👍 Please take a Torch and a Tape Measure with you when you do these videos.
I didn’t read all the comments so maybe it was already said. Perhaps this coach was Prince’s...Purple rain, purple rain. $70k cash and take it on Andrew Steele!
Andrew, did you jump on this Coach? Man, you just gotta get into the vibe of the design... just let loose and go with it. Or just say screw that and hammer 🔨 out a deal, then have Palacios Upholstery RV & Tops update the interior colors. Too bad it has a 92 vs 60 series Detroit. Yet consider this, you could finagle a smoking deal with your RV contacts to assist you with maintenance and upgrades for an at cost sponsorship in return for you vlog and documenting the process. Just my 2¢ worth.
Whoa, a mirror over the bed ! The last time I slept under a mirror I won't up in the morning and panicked, I thought a naked skydiver was falling on me.
Oh man, I'm having flashbacks. That thing is as 1992 as it gets. It could have been a member of my high school graduating class and nobody would have batted an eye.
I love the sound of those two stroke detroits but they love to leak oil and fuel milage your lucky to get 5.5 mpgs my cascadia isx Cummins pulling a 53 foot dry van gets 9.1 mpg average but the def and sensor's suck.been on the hook twice for sensors going out that was within the first 150k miles
This was Tom Petty's bus from Gainesville Florida. He had a Purple Prevost, I bought a Marshall Guitar amp in Rare "Purple color" from him about 25 years ago and flipped it fast.
Yeeesh... that interior color 🤮. The quality is there, and I love the exterior layout, but... you are still better off with the Tiffin IMO, unless you are prepared to go big on the interior reno. Thanks again Andrew. Appreciate these tours
Honestly I think the layout is great for your purpose, yes its relatively old and expensive but you could definitely do something in collaboration with Kyle to make this your own home, modernized.
Last time I saw this floor plan was a year ago was 135k black instead of purple but did not have the diamond plates on top that makes it hail proof. Get this one Andrew over the road air, and that front as and I believe this model is all electric so I'd buy it if I was not already loving my Gillig country Coach. Andrew it would shine with your ability and that purple isn't really that bad throw a cover over it and enjoy. And if you sell it in a few years it should hold is value. As Jim Cramer says buy buy buy. I would reduce price by cost of a new set of tires and then put them on. The last one was at the boys in Carolina rvmaxus. I just had my wife watch and she said yes that's pretty cool, isn't that like the young man at rv maxis said their model drives like a dream and he was going 70 with only a finger on the wheel. I said yep and no rattles
O SA PLEC CU APARATUL ACELA DUPA MINE PANA CAND SE VA FACE LA PECO APARAT DE ANCARCARE ELECTRIC DAR MAR COSTA FOARTE MULTI BANI ASA CA APARAYUL MARE DE ANCARCARE CURENT LA MASINA AL VOI PYRTA DUPA MINE TOATA CENTRALA ELECTRIC NUCLEARA
i would offer $75k for it then take it to marathon to do a complete remodel on the inside! maybe new paint job take to top of the coach off new a/c systems do a complete engine check for leaks
I think would roll with the $85k - basically it is fear of the known (it starts) vs. fear of the unknown. Replacing purple (or living with it) is a lot cheaper than trying to figure out why the $42k can’t start. PS - I can definitely see why you are enamored with the Prevost.
Hello Andrew! Another great video....thank you much!! Hmmmm....for an almost 30 yr old coach, this one showed well! Of course, I'd feel better if you could get Kyle give it the mechanical once over; but I did like this one. I can't speak for my wife, but I'd be all over the purple love machine!! Oh....and Matt owes you a beer for the plug for his super human capabilities to vault 12ft high rigs in a single bound!
I’d spend the extra and buy this bus over the 45K bus. If you are going to buy one. I’d check the frame for rust being in the keys for years. You could live with that and do work when $$ is available. The $45K will need lots of work until you could actually use it.
Have Kyle go through the mechanical stuff$$$, $85,000 to buy it plus tax and tags. Then you have to work out a deal with Dean for paint job. Then a trip to Phoenix for new interior,Keep washing RVs.Just saying.
You must want to work allot too either one cleaned up and working the way you hey do you have fun with it you know allot more than I do ! Be safe happy healthy!!!!
Looks cool,Just needs a make over in side $85k that’s a good price with new batteries,A new set of tyres would make a good coach if you put about $15-20k I would buy this coach..With your contacts you could make it look a million dollars. I live in England & I would buy it
Ugh those colors remind me of my prom in 88' when my date had a teal/purple dress...that relationship did not last past the last Whitesnake song of the dance..... That is definitely a 92' interior, I would be intrested to see the ownership history and see if it was an ex Nascar or IndyCar driver owner coach because of the aftermarket back stairs and the diamond plated roof walkway with what looks like pop up hand rails. Someone spent a small fortune on the walk around roof deck and is exactly what is used by many racer/owners . There was some controversy several years ago with those roof systems that the France family made (Nascar)... and they were not allowed, every team in Nascar and IndyCar uses those roof systems on there Featherlite transporters/haulers for timing/spotting...what in the world were we thinking in the 90's with those colors? I will refer to this coach as the Marathon Wang Chung / Max Headroom coach...fyi ask Kyle about the used roof system for a an XLII that is sitting in Arizona, last I heard they wanted $15K for it
budget for recovering interior and what is found with expert inspection for your final cost, 30,000 back to zero... outside too expensive to change....floor plan and outside are permanent....marathon came through again...liberty or marathon
I like the retro look haha. But in your case I think you get a newer model unless you’re willing to spend big money on renovations. And when I say I newer I mean like 2007 and up.
Hey man, beautiful bus. Not a huge fan of the colors inside but that can be changed. I'd put money into this one any day compared to the other one he's got for sale. The one for $45k is cool and I like the layout but I just feel like if it was only a few thousand to fix why would he not fix it and then list it for sale at a significantly higher price... *shrugs* My $0.02. :-) Keep the videos coming man I love these big machines.. :-) Makes my Class C look totally low budget.. HAHA..
NO ! You want a Prevost with a Series 60 only, no 8V92. The old Detroits were unreliable and no one works on them anymore. Look for a 96 and newer coach

Do older Prevost come with air bags? I have seen in some buses where you ave the ability to lower the front for easier access.... nice bus. I bet you get it.
I believe they all do. I've driven Prevost LeMirage models as old as 1984, they all have a "low bouy" function which dumps the air out of all axles. Very solid buses.
