Took me a while to figure out how to get my old decks from prezi present into the new interface. Only realised there was an update 30 minutes before going live for a presentation. Stressed a bit as I couldn’t find my deck. But after importing realised how smooth the new interface is. Will defs create a fun meeting interaction deck to spice up those boring meetings.
🤯OMG! Prezi really is a game-changer. I just purchased the software, and then imported and recorded an 8-slide ppt presentation in record time. IT LOOKS AMAZING AND WAS SO EASY. I like the fact that you can bring in video clips and play them inside of the presentation. Oh....and the SPEAKER NOTES. It's like a SECRET TELEPROMPTER. Rich if you're ever in my part of NY I want to buy you lunch. Thank you!!!
So stoked to hear that it worked so well for you. I still use PPT for live presentations, but for online Prezi is a gamechanger! I'll take you up on that :)
Wow! I never knew that you could drag and drop content on the fly like that! Amazing! This is definitely a game changer. I agree, those animations are abit to much. Hopefully they'll be gone in the next update
hey Rich, You are on the windows version - the mac version has some very strange design choices 1. It’s not all modular like windows version. Only the presenter notes can be popped out. But when you do that you lose the next slide view - it would be fine if you could pop out the next slide also. 2. If you show presenter notes you can see the next slide but presenter notes are OFF TO THE LEFT rather than central like the used to be. Arrgh! It’s a downgrade. you now have to move your whole interface over to the right with the slide list off screen to get presenter notes central (a bigger monitor would help but I’m on a laptop 3. They’ve also changed the simple 1,2,3 keys which used to switch between the three views (slides off, slide overlay and slide full screen) to cmd-B, cmd-1, cmd-2 - why??! It was so easy before I could do it without even looking at the keyboard - impossible with cmd-B! Even if it were cmd-1,2,3 it would be better - although still a backward step. I wish they’d made these customisable. I have resorted to the remote+ app on my iphone which lets you create a virtual remote control - it’s the only way to make it work now. So overall not really an improvement on Mac - more of a backward/slightly sidewards step and certainly no better for presenters. Shame.
Hey Simon, I knew I moved from Mac for a reason :) I sent your feedback to the Prezi team, thanks so much for sharing. I will say the change with the keys from 1,2,3 confused me too. I use the logitech spotlight so it was easy enough for me to change 1 to ctrl-1 on that, but I do defs get your point.
