I'm praying for the day Nigerians will have access to electricity 24/7. Why can't the government pay attention to the state of the energy problem in Nigeria?
Why? Because the govt doesn't give a damn! And the people are too ignorant, brainwashed, traumatised, oblivious, impoverished and mentally enslaved to realise that they don't have leaders but oppressors & dictators!
I wouldn't talk much, weldone Engr. But just to drop only 2 points, lithium batteries are far better than tubular batteries, you cannot compare their depth of discharge, their overall life span all conditions being equally is more than tubular and not just a mere case of space, and secondly a 96volts system is more like a waste on a residential unit, 48volts is enough, a 96volts is more for an industrial setup. I have been into this industry by God's grace since 2013, and I still do research at intervals to always be updated in my major field, so always update your knowledge
Good installation.....next time make the installation system simple for longevity sake. A 10kva/48v with lithium phosphate will power that house easily with very long life span. No need for a second system, it add redundancy in the long run
Am a novice in every and anything electricity.... Please educate me more on your curriculum.... Between tubular and lithium battery.... Which serves better and longer? Please just Gist me about everything... I intent to install solar in a year ahead where there's just no light 🚦.... And the demand for usage will be high.... Educate me on best of the best choice please.
@@nwebonyimonday1856 that's inaccurate when you try to look at the details of what makes a house. It all depends on the electronics you intend to run with it.
If the fund is there, a two battery bank system is a very good idea so that your can have rest for your systems especially as he said the entire place is off grid, since there is no presence of public power. But I would have suggested that he went with a 48volts system which will do beautifully well. I have done same using a 48volts system in Ekpoma, then somewhere in Uzanu and ugwoyor Uneme both in Etsako east LGA and all in Edo state and it's been work very well. If there is a challenge with the batteries which is connected in series, you might have to change all 8 pieces since its 96v but for 48v you will jus have to work on changing 4 pieces, so it's more economical and still very effective using a 48v system and still 8 Batteries.
Bro let me remind you,lifepo4 lithium phosphate batteries and OPZV gel batteries are more stronger than tubular open lead acid battery, tubular battery lifespan with maintenance is 7-8 years while lifepo4 phosphate battery with maintenance is 5-10 years and OPZV battery will last for 20 years.
Also, you don't need to worry about DOD for LIFEPO4 batteries. Your can discharge them to 90-100% without issues, unlike Lead Acid and Tubular batteries that recommend not less than 50% DOD setting.
@@dukeojogu yes, by far. However, they are a lot more expensive so economics has to be considered. Let me also add that many Chinese LiFePo4 batteries have been found to have way less capacity than quoted on the spec sheet. Felicity has been found guilty of that. You can Google it. If I had money I would by Battleborn LiFePo4 batteries, they are reliable.
lithium batteries are better because they last longer. lithium batteries can last for 5 years before battery capacity reduces to 80%. but lithium batteries are more expensive.
The battery life span is 7years Maximum. But if Pulse-Discharged into Super-Capacitor Array first and from there connected to the Inverter, it can last more than 15years. As for the Panels, nothing less than 50years optimum efficiency if the cells are made of well refined Silicon.
@@Ukthorncarverplease can you explain in simple terms what you mean by this statement "But if pulse-discharged into super-capacitor array first and from there connected to the inverter, it can last more than 15 years."

Preferably Super or Ultra capacitor which are rated always in F A R A D not micro farad. mr momoh here cheated the owner of this house who does not know how solar works, he says that the total number of panels is 40 which means he charged the man for 40 panels when the actual number is 32 panels, two panels producing 12 volts and charging one battery with a total of 16 batteries, 8 batteries at night and 8 batteries during the day at the 8:13 minute mark
Inverter systems have advanced beyond this... This is too complicated and inefficient. Also, do not mislead your audience... Lithium batteries are very different from tubular batteries... The difference is much more than size...
Nah! A tubular gel does not even have half the life span of lithium batteries. Lithium are not only compacted but have longer life span as much as 15 years, on the other hand Tubular has just 5 years max with regular maintenance. Once the plates of tubular are damaged, no amount of distilled water or electrolyte will bring it back to life. The problem with installers in Nigeria is not using premium batteries
All the batteries charge at the same time. The top ones don’t charge before the lower ones so long as u use normal wire guage. The difference between tubular and lithium is massive. U can get more amps from lithium and it has longer life span and is more compact and light weight. Panels don’t work at night so I don’t get dividing solar panels for day and night. Please stop telling people what u don’t know. It gives we engineers bad name
I paused the video immediately he said that. It shows his low level of knowledge How can 4 batteries charge first before the next 4 when they're all in the same circuit ??? Besides, 96v is waste of resources. If one battery goes bad, the system will fail unlike a 48v configuration.
I swear, I was just listening and laughing when he said people uses lithium batteries bcos of unavailability of space for the batteries....but it's not is fault, since he has never used lifep04 batteries beforez he had to market what he is used to.

Now, there you get it wrong saying mere Lead Acid base Tubular Battery Chemistry is on the same level with Lithium Battery! Enh?? Who says that? As in you are equating ordinary upgrade SLA battery with Mighty Lithium? Do you even understand there make up at all? Can you abruptly discharge any type of Lead Acid Battery the way you can over Lithium of any type namely Lithium Iron, Lithium Polymer, Lithium Iron Phosphate and THE BANBA OF ALL BATTERIES: THE LITHIUM TITANATE OXIDE a.k.a LTO?? The C-Rating of Lithium Batteries alone kill or relegated instantly any type of Lead Acid Base Battery let alone it Life Span which amounts to more than 15years!! I am still using till date the 3.7V 54Ah Lithium Polymer Battery I bought from Joseph Li in China back in 2010! Not even AGM battery can last that long. As for your installation, there is no need for those controllers as long as the P.V.Cs are equal in Imp and Vmp and there series connection produces minimum of 180VDC. With that, you only need an Hybrid inverter which have inbuilt Smart MPPT Controller. Hybrid inverter can generate Electricity directly from the Solar Panels during the day. When the Night comes true it modern relay, it will switch to the battery automatically. Plug and play is for Integrated Solar System, complex installation is for Split Solar Power generation like the one you are doing in the video. If anyone wanna enjoy Solar Power Generation, go for the Hybrid Inverter System.
No criticism.... but you just can't use solar energy as much as you like.... that's wrong and false information. I just think most of these Nigerian technician don't have much understanding of how solar energy works. @Mart Fame not sure what you mean by don't lie? What do I stand to gain by lying to you. Did you import your products yourself or did buy them in Nigeria? Quality quality quality. Am not selling any product and don't intend to sale. In 2015 I wanted to sale & install solar products in nja. I imported standard panels 300W panel and 285AH AGM batteries from Ritar batteries. My panels had to compete with 70w panels mislabeled as 300w. So some advised I do like them do, I resolved to giving the panels to relatives instead of selling them below cost. So believe what u want and do what u want. I know 24/7 panel is doable. From the inception install all energy efficient fixtures, inverter AC, fridges, iron during the day. All na calculations. Take care
Installation is good but pls stop recommending Tubular batteries for AC and heaters cos they would not make the batteries. With this you would need to maintain the batteries every month.
He was comparing based on how long each ones will last. Or are you saying that Lithium batteries last more, as in number of years, than tubular batteries?
