Every Friday night we put our kid to bed and wander around Italy with the two of you while splitting a bottle of vino. We lived in Piedmont for a year several years ago and hope to someday own a property in Italy. Thanks for the laughs, fun, and dreaming after a long week! I so enjoy your format on presenting homes in Italy. You check all the boxes! Climate, hospitals, veterinarians, restaurants, wineries, etc.! Bravo! I got my husband to watch this latest one in Piedmont and he said “SOLD! Buy it! “😊 We have been focused on Abruzzo and Molise regions, (because of developing friends there, as well as family roots), but we like the temperate climate where this area is. I was late to the viewing after getting an ulcer doing my taxes. But I finally made it. Really nice place. The furniture in the bedrooms is unbelievable. Ok, best golf joke (imagine Craig Ferguson telling it so you get the ascent). A man and a friend are playing golf one day at their local golf course. One of the guys is about to chip onto the green when he sees a long funeral procession on the road next to the course. He stops in mid-‐swing, takes off his golf cap, closes his eyes, and bows down in prayer. His friend says, ‘Wow, that is the most thoughtful and touching thing I have ever seen. You truly are a kind man." The man then replies, ‘Yeah, well we were married 35 years.’

I've seen several homes up in that area and they have all had large rooms and special features. i don't think I want to live that far north but I've seen some nice property up there. You guys make me smile when I see you presenting these properties. I think you found another great property. I love it, not all the furniture is to my liking but I’d rather have furniture than an empty space. Important to know that only in the southern Italy properties with 20,000 or less residents is where you get the 7% fixed tax break for 9 or 10 years. That’s a real plus. Yes, the $38,000 property is a steal. I think I remember you mentioning the Carolinas as your home state??? Maybe where you grew up? I don’t know. Thank you for a great video.

Furniture is a bit stiff & formal for me. Can always take to a shop & maybe trade? Lots of flea markets, antique stores, etc! I loved that Todi property that Dwayne & Donna bought. Considered it myself!!!

Wow, you two are finding some killer deals! I like that you point out the distances from nearest larger town, the trains, buses and hospitals. We are thinking of Provence for retirement; however, Italy is also close to my heart. I’m not sure about buying vs renting. The properties I am drawn to seem to be converted convents or former religious order habitats. We thought the coast was ideal, but a nice lake area in Europe is beautiful too!

Love the property its perfect size! But does furnished mean your stuck with all thecstuff in the garage ?? Lol has lots of potential, furniture would do to get settled, after that think a lot would have to go. Basic structure and layout gives a lot to work with. Think garage becomes outdoor party space! But think if possible ? Maybevits group decision but yellow arch way has to go!

Eek, not sure… would definitely need to ask the agent about garage stuff. Love the idea! Yep, the furniture gets you started and then can upgrade later. Haha… guessing the arch has to stay, come on, it’s kinda charming😉 Price COULD be negotiable too, a lot of properties are, but not saying this one is, ya never know though!!

The agent is very nice and responsive though, so if someone is interested in the property, we are sure they’d snap pics to share. Everything that is in front and behind the terracotta color (or peach as Biaggio said) house is the property and it’s all fenced in, except the garage. Appreciate you joining us! @@wanderingwithwine I also meant to ask, are there weekly marketplaces there? I thought Italy requires you to take a driving test and it’s only in Italian so how does someone get a car? I can’t get around without one. Thanks 😊

There are markets in Casale Monferrato☺️ I (this is Jaime) was just talking to a pal last week who lives in Italy about the driving situation - she’s working on obtaining her license now. You have to get your Italian license within 1 year of establishing residency. She said you need to know some Italian to understand the questions but you don’t need to be fluent. Hope this helps!! ☺️🇮🇹

lol.. lake guarda is "less than three hours away"? 6 hours round trip.. thatmeans you are lucky if you go there once a year.

Yep, that’s right… three hours one way ☺️ If you don’t get a place overnight you may not be visiting more than a few times a year. However, we have personally been known to travel 15 hours in a day… we aren’t scared😉 Thanks for joining us!!! Have a great weekend ✨

Woah!! We wouldn’t tell you they aren’t but we also can’t say they are - we haven’t seen 40% taxes anywhere in Italy, yet. Yikes!! Can you share some sources?

@@wanderingwithwine you can buy a house and stay for 90 days , on a Tourist visa - twice a year , without owing income tax . check with a consulate online about residency requirements and all that .
