Priced Out of Paradise: The Affordable Housing Crisis 

Hmm... For me, the video wasn't that informative, sadly. The music was lacking, in that it was the same sounds over and over for basically the whole video. Was hoping to see some information from the Department of Inland Revenue about the properties that got taken away from persons, and from the banks on the current distressed properties. From what I've personally seen, the state of the current "affordable" homes on the market in New Providence are pretty rough, old, in the ghetto or are in an area that floods during storms. $200-400k is pretty much the low end in New Providence and at that price you feel like you're looking at scraps for the most part. From most of the real estate agents I've spoken to, I got this feeling that they didn't put much effort into anything under about $1mil. Luxury properties are the main focus for sure. The MLS websites don't have a lot of useful information most of the time, especially when compared to what Canada's kijiji, The Netherlands' funda or the USA's Zillow websites. A lot of the other real estate related websites in the Bahamas, are also pretty shabby when considering the amount of technology currently available out there. For example the locations for some of these places are totally wrong, one listing showed me that it was in the middle of a lake. Some websites only display a few pictures, a phone number and an email address and even when you reach out to some of these companies or persons listed there is no response. Sorry for the long read, just a bit frustrated at the current state of things....

Absolutely useless show, annoying music playing in the background Where are the real on the ground interviews with the affected persons, you just interview certain players? Disappointed
