Um neither. First off your paying for a Jeweler to make the chain. So that's not an investment because you will never make your money back. .999 gold itself isn't even an investment it's more of a hedge to fight off inflation. So I buy pure gold bars every month I use up 25percent of my leftover money i have saved. A chain and diamonds for investment lol? C'mon man i understand your a business man and a jeweler

I have to say I respect this guy. He is for real telling you all the truth! Go out and grab a 18K chain from him and do an super smart investment for your life. When the price was low I bought for 2k some 14k gold bracelets and chains and kept them basically locked. Didn't want to wear it...it was basically an impulse buy. Today I traded that 14K stuff and almost lost it when I heard that I had to pay 800$ on top of the trade to afford myself an 7.000$ 18k cuban link chain😳 Guys this gold sh.t is super freaking serious. @@MrBigChops don’t pay too much to get the piece made. They want 2x the price of gold to make a chain. All these guys charge too much nowadays. I’m still trying to find someone reasonably priced. Basically figure out the True price of gold in the chain you want. 100 gram chain. 100 grams X current gold price. Then x by .75 for 18k and .58 for 14k. Once you have that price then you know how much they are trying to charge you for the service. Theyll want 8k for a piece with 4K worth of gold. Then They’ll say 500 for a mold and blah blah blah. If there is 4K worth of gold then I wouldn’t pay more than 5500 to get the piece made. This is why he is rich because people throw their money away. You want to invest in gold then buy coins. Apmex. jM bullion. Plenty online stores . Buy 1 ounce gold coins. Preferably Lunar series. But gold price may go down so look at chart.

But jewelry isn't for investment. The cost of production Mae's the buy in to high. Purchase bullion for investment, jewelry because you like it. The only way chains make sense is if it's 22k minimum with a 5-10% premium over spot. Impossible to do without slave labor.

You’re pretty honest, I invest in /GC but as far as the diamond district goes, as you know is filled with hustlers and scammers, they give businesses like yours a bad name. I tried to buy a watch there multiple times and they always throw me a curveball and I end up walking away and buying online.

Ive purchased multiple pieces from Trax. I got a 36inch 11mm miami cuban chain and a double row black diamond bracelet set in yellow gold. Double custom orders. Its been 8 years or so now. I still wear them almost daily. Ive never, NEVER, been able to find prices as reasonable as Trax. I called 5 years after i ordered and received my items just on impulse. They still had all my info on file and offered to send my appraisal again. Im sure some people have had rough exp but I would say shop with traxNYC.

Here we are one year later and gold broke 2000 dollars and retraced down to around 1900. I don’t think it’s gonna go back to 1200 or lower. Brought my 18k 12mm 24inch Cuban over a year ago and happy I did, don’t even care if gold drops I’m still happy because a hand made Cuban is truly a work of art.
