It was quite lovely and touching. I thought it would be more of a stereotypical gay comedy, but it proved to be a good history lesson, with both comedy and drama in it. Imelda was positively superb.
I have just watched one of the funniest and moving films I have EVER seen. This film is fantastic and very touching. I urge you all to watch it. Here is the preview. It is based on true accounts of how the miners and the gay community came together. What a wonderful testament humanity.I come from a mining community, my father, and grandparents were all miners. And as I am a gay man, this film was very profound for me.
after such a disappointing week for us, the ordinary people of this country, I must get this out and put it on as it's a wonderful story of struggle against adversity and people of diverse backgrounds pulling together to achieve something wonderful. A wonderful beautiful film and so good to see many of those it is based upon getting to put in their tuppenceworth.
