A lot of the videos show animals trying to swat at the camera or boop it. Some don't seem to care. But a thing that makes noise seems to attract attention. I don't think the cameras are so well-hidden that they're unnoticeable. Toddlers will probably do the same.
My wildlife camera has an infrared sensor to detect animals and turn on. There's no visible light or anything, and yet they always react to it. I suspect they see something I don't.
Animals can HEAR the cam motor running, even if we can't. That's why bears sometimes EAT the cam. a photo shot click can also be heard; if youhave it set on 3 shots yhou can see the deers startled reaction.
I knew about the chimpanzees like Chloe, Delilah and Jackson having direct access to GoPro cameras for enrichment. Apparently Zawadi, Kya and their daughters are having their turn on candid tape! This was certainly a fun video to record some aspects of their downtime. Knowing Kya and Zawadi will both be 17 later this year, may this serve as another form of enrichment for them to stay engaged. :3
That is hilarious how many really good shots were taken by the lions. The perspective at 0:59 ish with the one lion up close to the camera and the other one on the left looking stoic on that rock is 10/10. Nice "catography" 😂
😮😮😮 now that was awesome, amazing and so funny!😂😂 she was enjoying her new toy 😂 Oh and I could see she made it to the dentist and her teeth 🦷 looked great 😮 😂😂😂😂😂😂 😂
This is like your Aunt Marlene holding a videocamera for the first time, shouting "Steven how does this darn thing work? I don't think it's on" while running around in only a bra and undies.
Wooooow, what a treat! They are truly social, inquisitive & sentient beings. Humans have much to learn about lions, domestic & wildlife species. Could we have more clips please or a live cam? Regardless, thank you very much for sharing & giving your best to care for your residents, OZ😘 (Love Oregon- especially Portland, Oregon Coast- a beautiful state!)
