I only put on my Coat & Pants before getting in the fire truck. Plus most departments where I live have most of their gear on inside the truck so that once they arrive on scene, they can get to work and not have to waste time.

Soooo I’m just suggesting here’s what you do start off with your gear off and then when you get on the truck you get your stuff on but don’t put your mask and helmet on and also I suggest you try not to wear your helmet around the fire station

Fire trucks pull up to a mva at a angle to provide a barrier of protection for all personnel on scene. So the fire truck will take a hit so no one gets hit
