These days, I watched again Pride & Prejudice, taking particular attention to the1980's (not 1979, as I wrote in the opening) version. The first proposal is, for me, the part that defines if you're a good Darcy/Elizabeth. Elizabeth Garvie is maybe, the Best Elizabeth, but David Rintoul is unable to show the turmoil of emotions moving inside Darcy's. I'll put the other two sequences (1995/2005) for a better comparison.
Esses dias, estava assistindo outra vez Orgulho e Peconceito, versão de 1980 (*não, 1979, como aparece na abertura*), 1995, e 2005 e comparando as atuações. Acho que a cena que melhor define se os atores e atrizes estão fazendo bem Darcy e Elizabeth é esta aí, a da primeira proposta. Pois bem, Elizabeth Garvie é ótima como Elizabeth Bennet, talvez, a melhor de todas, mas David Rintoul é quase robótico, especialmente em uma cena na qual ele precisa mostrar toda a angústia que sente ao se rebaixar por uma mulher, que ele mesmo acredita, não ser a mais correta para si. Vou carregar as três seqüências, assim fica melhor para visualizar.
