I got so much out if this talk. I am not a note taker, but I grabbed a pencil for this one! Best line for me was "pride causes you to do the unthinkable". I think if I peel back all the layers, of any mistake I have made in my life, the root has been pride and arrogance.
“Pride goeth before a fall” “It is only when there is no attention that confusion arises. Confusion arises when there is division, which is inattention.” “Confuse the wicked, O Lord, confound their speech, for I see violence and strife in the city. Day and night they prowl about on its walls; malice and abuse are within it. Destructive forces are at work in the city; threats and lies never leave its streets.” “Divide and conquer.” “But he, knowing their thoughts, said to them, ‘Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and a divided household falls.” “If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but is coming to an end.” “But avoid foolish controversies, genealogies, dissensions, and quarrels about the law, for they are unprofitable and worthless. As for a person who stirs up division, after warning him once and then twice, have nothing more to do with him, knowing that such a person is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned.” “Why do we think that hate is gonna change their hearts? Up in arms over wars that don’t need to be fought. Pride won’t let us lay our weapons on the ground. We build our bridges up just to burn them down. We think the pain is owed apologies and then it’ll stop; truth be told, it doesn’t matter if they’re sorry or not. Freedom comes when we surrender to the sound of Your mercy and Your grace, Father, send Your angels down - Father, won’t you forgive them? They don’t know what they’ve been doing. Father, please, give me strength to forgive them, cause I feel like the one losing.” Even the word “devil” can be translated as “to divide.” The devil loves chaos. Ever since his fall from Heaven Satan seeks to divide the world. His first action was to divide the angels, which was followed-up by tempting Adam and Eve in the garden, driving a wedge between the first humans and God. Division is the devil’s playground and it shouldn’t be surprising. The word “devil,” comes from the Greek word diabolos, which can be translated as, “to divide,” “to separate,” or more literally, “to throw against.” Pride is utterly divisive. Pride sits at the top of the hierarchy of the seven deadly sins. Pride is representative of Satan, as Satan himself fell from Heaven due to pride. Pride is ultimately the source of all sin, as it causes man to fall from God’s presence. “Sin” is singular (one thing) and is best described as separation/division from God. “Pride goeth before a fall”
Thank you for writing this. I know it took a good while. I needed to read this right now. With all the Gay Pride stuffing T.V. this month and alot today cuz the Gay Pride Parade is tomorrow and the truth does not get Power from being Broadcast from the Streets and The Radio and T.V. Stations ...The truth gets power from God.

I learned it in a hard way. When I was self-righteous, the spirit leviathan came upon me, I had to go through deliverance and fasting. Can you pull Leviathan out of the sea with a fishhook? He beholds every high thing; He is king over all the children of pride. Job 41:1, Job 41:34
Can we still be well pleased in our accomplishments or in those accomplishments of our family and friends? God said that he was well pleased in Jesus in Matthew 3:17; 17:5. What is the difference between being well pleased and proud?
It's probably tired in with anger.pride . That is ..I try to put God first Of course I often fail . The battle is the mind. And it's continues. With me .likely most most.

Yes. From what i took from this lesson is rather than give praise to yourself for being so skilful, instead give thanks to god for blessing you with the ability to learn and master your craft. Why? If you have so much pride in your achievements you are closed to the possibility of being even better. Thats just my interpretation though, the Bible is so deep with content and learning behind its initial surface layer.
"pride is bad cause god said so" is such a bad argument. Also laughed at the part where he mentions "false gods". Some Christians are so simple minded. How do you know you're right??
It depends. But if you are humiliated in yourself because you failed in your own strength, not seeking the Lord's guidance then that is pride because in this case we are all saying we can do it without Him. If it's humiliation you feel from others then please know God's character and give God the glory for choosing you to be His Child. Condemnation is from the devil. But... if we tend to enjoy how we feel in humiliation or self pity, then yeah, we are worshipping them as idols. This is what the Spirit led me to type. I hope this helps. But seek the Lord... He will direct your path. If you don't feel peace then ask the Lord to reveal to you. He is faithful. Much love!!
I don’t want to think I am prideful! A pastor asked me to submit to him and the board and my property. I said no! That it’s against the word. I am submissive on thief property. The Lord gave me my land. I am responsible for it. I have a bible study on it. They wanted me to submit the Bible study to their authority. They said I was prideful and arrogant! I left the church
