The Gorgeous Georgian Goddess of Dance and her partner Alexei dance this lovely Pas de deux. Nino was born in the proud INDEPENDENT nation of Georgia. Viva Nino, viva Georgia!
Simply the best we have seen in decades. I have seen her dozens of times with the ABT in New York; her grace, beauty and technique will be greatly missed.
When I watch Ananiashvili dance, I think of a happy, mischievous, and flirty girl rather than a bored machine going through the motions, which is the trait that is most often displayed by other ballet dancers.
So strong technique, she lives the role as well and her arms...which is 60% of SL, musicallity is 20% and she is totally there. And the rest is the fact that she takes the viewer to other levels of reality and this is what we call "the magic of dance". thankYou nina! Brava!
iam from georgia. when i was little my grandmother always took me t the nina ananiiashvilis ballet, she knows me.but most of her ballets i liked thisss!!!!! i want to see the swan lake here in georgiaaa!! pleaseee!!
oh shes wonderful i love Nina in everything i dont know what i like her better in: Don Q or Swan Lake! ahh shes now the AD of the National Georgia Ballet
She's a very good ballerina and actress to play the Black Swan. You can see the malicious delight she has in seducing the prince. If you want to experience something amazing, watch her as the Dying Swan (Saint Saens). Her wings, er, arms are something to behold.
