God pastel palettes are killing me softly

I have the same problem when picking colors. I tend to lean into blue/pink or blue/orange colors when I paint. So I’ve started a collection of color schemes on Pinterest and when I start a painting I arrange my colored pencils to create a color scheme. I use the pencils for the line work and for additional layering on top of the watercolors so I can make sure it’s all cohesive and not entirely rainbow vomit.

When in doubt, go with what you know works. It's a bit like going to a new restaurant, having no idea what anything tastes like then suddenly... Something you know! And you pick that over something else that might be just as good. In this case, you solved the problem with a totally different palette. :D

It is a common annoyance of the new prima boxes, however the metal does bend and so I simply bent the edges slightly in so it was a tighter fit. Your way it’s just as simple 😊 I have the decedent pies palette but I’ve been loving some of the fancier colours in the Daniel smith range. I’ve been sampling the dot cards I got free with my last Daniel smith purchase. I’m going to end up bankrupt if I’m not careful lol at least prima watercolours are not so expensive lol 😉 great work as always x

I have this palette set as well as the jane davenport brights set they are both so cute and the colors are beautiful. I just need to be careful when mixing them together as muddy colors can happen, but they are so cool to travel with and you can even add more paints or take it out and add your own.

Thanks for the reply :) I just annoyed my boyfriend a looot when I told him how pretty these are and so he actually ordered them for me 😂 I guess I'm gonna do a light fastness test on them :D For that price they can't be too good, but they are just so pretty I NEED THEM haha!!

OH MY GOD. Knocked for 6 about this video, not just because the Kitsune was so sweet-faced (and I hope she's a sticker soon), but because, all of a sudden, my stuff came up at the end. Lioba, you are too kind! Far too kind! WOW! Lol! Big hugs, and I really hope you get a kick out of going through some of those art supplies! Some a good! Some are (I bet) awful! It's an artsy loot-bag of fun for reviews! I can't wait to see what you decide! XD Looking forward to it!

Ich besitze auch einige der prima-farbkästen, aber ich nutze sie selten, denn ich komme nicht so sehr gut damit klar. Die gansai tambi farben finde ich doch besser und nicht so sandig. Aber die auswahl der pastellfarben ist der knaller. Ich werde mich doch nochmal mit dieser marke beschäftigen. Danke für deinen erfahrungsbericht 😊👍🏼

Definitly wont be able to handle a palette that lacks the good old blues and greens, this palettes feels like an add-on to me, a bunch a special rare colors to add on top of ur existing palette

Funny how you avoid brown because you think it's boring yet, modern art collectors won't buy at made with bright vibrant colors. We like and appreciate the "boring" far more than the vibrant modern. Society isn't seeing useful idiots throwing soup on modern art, abstract art or bright vibrant art.

LUH. we all have different accent. It's not her fault that she has that accent. It also implies that English is not her native language but still tries to speak as properly as she could.
