By “knocking off” Vortex VMR-2 or Steiner P4xi reticles. 😂 Curious though, why do you hate the ACSS? It incorporates a lot of great features. Just too busy for you? They’re not as busy as you’d think when shooting with them.

Thank you very much for your many learned videos on scopes. I am not sure if your will see this, so I put it here as well as in it's more proper place (the Battle of the 50s). I have an opportunity to purchase at a great price either a March 1.5-15x42, a 2.5-25x52, or a 4.5-28x52. I know that it is impossible for you to get at the heart of my concerns, especially with the technical and sophisticated grid that you pass questions through. But let me try, please. I presently only shoot in my backyard up to 50 yards. (Yes, I do not really need a March scope for that.) I am looking for the best all around IQ. You have said here or elsewhere that 15 or 18 magnification is typically sufficient. It is nice to have some more in the tank, though. I like light scopes and the 4.5-28 is significantly heavier than the other two. But is the High Master Super ED glass worth it? Or, is this glass something that comes into play in longer distances. Would the 10x mag in the 2.5-25 or the 1.5-15 produce an inferior image than the 8x mag in the 3-24? I know my information is nor orderly and inadequate to give you a proper base of knowledge from which to answer. But because I know that you are an expert on scopes, and help adjudicate decisions for people, I figured I would try. I also know that you make suggestions and do not try to direct people Thank you very, very much. (P.S. The sale will be over in a few days.) David

This is pretty nice for the $$$. PA bang for your buck. Might need to “build another AR” to justify another PA optic! Good competitive option to rival Delta Stryker, vortex PST, and vortex razor gen2 E!

I though this scope was going to sell for about 339 dollars similar to the Primary Arms SLx 1-6x24mm SFP Rifle Scope Gen III - Illuminated ACSS Aurora 5.56-Meter Reticle. If it's 500 dollars I'll go with a Delta Stryker or a Meopta scope.

Interesting, vortex viper pst is a 5-7 year scope that can be had for low 400 when on sale and 500 all day if you shop around new of course. So comparing the glass and cost would be interesting. Since it does seem to be daylight bright. At +500 dollars, it is DOA. Sub 400 and we'll have a real winner.

Looks like Primary Arms has another winner! How would you say the new SLX 1-6x glass compares with the RT-6?
@DarkLordOfOptics
@DarkLordOfOptics Год назад
Tough call without seeing them side-by-side. It is probably fairly close, but I'll take a more careful look. I have a Delta Hornet 1-6x here somewhere that is very similar to the RT-6, so I'll check.

The RT-6 has such a good eye box and eye relief and clear glass. I imagine the PA suffers on the eye box and glass but it looks like they improved eye relief. There is only so much they can do with their Chinese made SLX line. Their GLX of this (if they make it) would compare better since it would be made in the Philippines like the RT-6.

I wish that LPVO manufactures would make an AUX power connector and have a rechargeable battery that can snap onto 1913 rail or make a mount that you could attached the battery to (between the scope and mount) and get battery life in the 100's if not low 1000's hours. (a quick detached recharge cable would be cool so it could charge in a safe or patrol car)

It is a mrad reticle. It is not caliber specific. It takes about 45seconds with a ballistic calcualtor and a little shooting to get it to work with any caliber. If you look carefully, mine sits on a 7.62x39 KS-47.
