Primate XY 

Scientists finished the first complete chromosome sequences from non-human primates, an incredibly difficult task given the challenges in sequencing repetitive DNA. With complete sequences of the X and Y chromosomes from five great apes, scientists can learn more about the evolution and biology of these endangered species.
