Bill Thanks so much for your simple way in teaching. Re the a/m issue of not having the baseline identical with the current one, i followed your steps and i could fix it. Now i have 2 identical bars for both current and baseline. However, i still have big negative schedule variance. The "schedule % complete" is not equal to the "performance % complete". would you please help?
Hi thanks for the videos. I have a problem here in our project. We are giving a epc contract under one lumsum value to the contracting company. So there wont be any money variations. However we need to track the schedule, time performance. How can i express earned value in terms of time instead of money? Please explain. Thanks
Bill..how do I show a productivity factor per activity? Is there a custom column I can create to make this calculation? For example...If I have an activity that is estimated at 100 hours.....and my actual hours to date are 75...and im 50% complete with the job, which means I earned 50 hrs....which also means I am running a .67 productivity factor for that particular activity. How do I make the .67 show up on the activity line item in one of the columns?
10:22 there is still yellow bars because by default if there is no baselines P6 uses the "Current project" as a basline, current project means the planned dates (start dinish and original duration" i had a lot of problems even with % complete because of the planned dates, now before every update i run global change and change the planned dates to actual
