I'll still never be able to wrap my head around the fact that this was a PUBLIC SCHOOL that had no means to recruit their players, unlike a bunch of the other schools (of whom they went 35-0 against) did. 3 top 10 NBA picks from this district all playing together by chance is just ridiculous. Let's also not forget that LaMelo was supposed to be in 8th grade this year and moved up a grade to play with both of his brothers for one season. And the fact that these dudes are literally running and gunning for the entire game, routinely making passes that you usually only see in video games, and only subbing guys out if they were absolutely destroying the other teams. High school basketball lore just doesn't get much better than this. We'll likely never see a team like this again but I'm thankful we're able to still watch videos like this of them.

The fact that a public school destroyed all the top private schools makes them the BEST high school team ever. Some people think their offense is cheap or they're cherry picking...if it was that easy then every team would do it, but they can't and they don't. You need crazy stamina to play this style. It's a mix of the showtine Lakers and Nash, Amare, Marion, Joe Johnson Suns.

The look on the coaches face for Mater Dei is priceless. Like he really can’t believe what he is witnessing. Not only are you getting spanked but you getting clowned on too. Just think of what the score and the game would’ve looked like if they had been 100% dialed in not making careless mistake and turn overs.
