The fan does not cool off anything it just give you a cool effect. When the atomized water hits your skin it evaporates and when water evaporates is cools. The water evaporates off your skin with cools the surface (your skin) this fan is unable to cool any object or space. If you put the fan right infront or you you could get a cooling effect. Ok so I hooked mines to an extension cord and its noy turning on, But It worked in the livingroom connected to an extension cord but it turned off on it's own. Yes i was running the fan and the mist on the third speed. I don't know if it broke, did I put too much water in it, Idk know I need help.
I bought one today for $15 and I couldn't get it to work. I guess my USB plug into the outlet sucked. So I guess I'll take it back. I would rather have batteries. I got it for the beach so if it needs a stronger power source that won't work.
