Yep. This was the season right after the PSG Qatari project started. Montpellier had 5 times less budget than PSG and won the season. an historic performance for this club.
People that know ball know Giroud is a quality striker, and I mean outside of these finishes. His ability to hold up play and provide his team build up is excellent.
That's his best trait, da bronco should react to an analysis of Giroud off the ball gameplay, he is a striker that helps his team scores goals without him scoring
People hate him but he has great stats, every trophy a footballer could ask, beautiful goals, loved by all the teammates and coach he ever had and even a compilation of goal that is better than some of the best strikers like Lewangoalski, Cavani or Suarez 😂
Giroud was a always a team player, I don't think there is a prime Giroud but his goals are world class, he also has won practically everything even a ligue 1 title with Montpellier.
The man has little positive attributes and a lot of negatives but the man uses his 2 3 attributes 10/10 and even world class players can't stop him..If I were a coach I'd absolutely LOVE to work with him.
Giroud had disgusting moments but he was flipping terrible😭 cost Özil most assists in the Prem in a season going 14 games without scoring. Arsenal could’ve won the league that year because everyone else fumbled except Leicester😩I still cry thinking about giroud

Giroud overall had the ability to be a great great striker but his prime was early when he lead Montpellier to the title as their top scorer. After that though he never really had many other great seasons, in fact at arsenal he used to miss soooo many easy chances and was hated by a lot of their fans due to the fact players like Cazorla and Ozil could’ve had a lot more assists if he was more efficient. One thing you can’t take away from giroud tho is that throughout his career he’s always scored amazing goals
Giroud is like van dijks bogey player. He always does something when they play against each other, van Dijk even said that Giroud was hes hardest opponent.
Bro can I just say I appreciate the goals at the bottom of the list, my coach is literally on my behind because I struggle to take snappy shots EDIT: I realize not many may understand me when I say snappy shots...I mean like in a situation where you have to take a shot and can't waste more time bc then the opportunity to score is gone.

bro i don't think "prime giroud" was a thing, people used to call him trash when he was at this "prime" of his, he is WAY more respected now, also the amount of goals he used to miss at that time were outrageous
Van Dijk actually admit in an interview that the most annoying Forward he ever had to play against was Giroud. To quote, "There were times I thought I had him but then he suddenly scored out of nowhere, and I was like 'Really, again?'".
