Lil baby isn’t on drugs anymore, hasn’t for a while (obviously I could be wrong but real ones know) at the end of the day harden is his own man and makes his own decisions, if he did start taking drugs (it’s known he would go to studio sessions til early hours of the morning and then go drop 30-40 points lol) anyways if he did, it’s his own fault
@@heathyoung99 the man was crazy efficient. That’s y his teams won lots of games. He was an amazing player and fans like u denying his greatness r ruining the game.
Been seeing a lot of James Harden Praise lately, I feel like it’s because people think we won’t ever see the old James Harden again, so people are starting to appreciate what we had. Glad I was always a fan and got to witness some of the best iso ball ever. Hopefully he gives us one or two more elite years and maybe just maybe get a chip along the way 💪
if james harden ever wins a chip im literately going to fall on my knees crying ive been wanting this man to succeed for the longest he deserves it for the carry job he had to do for most of his whole career
I used to hate Harden's playstyle back when I don't understand his moves yet. I thought he was just dribbling many times then shooting a step-back randomly. I also thought that his euro-step was a travel up until someone explained it in a youtube video and showed a slower version of it. It blew my mind how creative he is and how there's more to his game than just random dribbling and shooting that casuals wouldn't understand. He baits fouls because it's an efficient way of scoring. He knows the rules and he bends them to his favor. He changed his playstyle a lot from OKC up to his MVP season. He mastered the euro-step then also mastered the step-back. He mastered the triple threat and the size-up isolation moves. He also mastered the pick and roll. I'm kinda sleepy while writing this so I'm not gonna finish it
Grew up in Houston and became a basketball fan in 2013 cuz The Rockets got Dwight Howard. Had no idea who Harden was going in to it. Harden made me obsessed with the game. Now basketball is my favorite sport and I’m a die hard Rockets fan, and got 3 garden jerseys over the years. I even got the Harden 1s on drop as my first paid of signature shoes. I will always defend this man with my life
Harden is one of my favorite players of all time. The dude looks like he never tries. He runs full speed maybe once every 10 games, it almost looks like he just walks to all his spots. He trolls the refs with his double step backs and foul drawing methods. He’s genuinely a really good dunker but he’s always too lazy to actually do it. He legit does not try at all on defense. And he does all this crap while scoring 50+ points 🤣 It’s just awesome
Exactly. His demeanor and even the way he moved on the court was just "work smarter not harder" embodied. I noticed that when I looked at the angles he took on defenders in the lane. He never really worried about beating anybody to a spot, he just countered by stepping in an unexpected direction and positioning his shoulders to clear the defender out of his release space.
I love Harden bro, I really hated him for some time and I was one of those guys who thought his playstyle was disgusting but I realized that I was so wrong and he's such a great player. I really hope he succeeded with Philly after this awful year. 🔥🔥🏀🏀💯💯
@@SolusFather foulbaiting relies on what the league accepts and doesnt accept. When the league stopped taking as many fouls players like harden became significantly worse. Greatness transcends eras and harden is not that
@@user-os3ml4uu6i The league literally had to implement huge rule changes just to nerf Harden. Guys who don't play basketball at a high level aren't able to comprehend the level of skill it takes to manipulated defenses the way Harden does. He his 2nd to none when it comes to that. If that didn't require skill, than every NBA player would be doing it. Period.
Harden injured his hammy twice in the last year. It takes 6 - 8 months to recover from 1. He was an MVP candidate in 2021. So this idea that Harden is fat and lazy and now doesnt care is false and it plays into the Harden hate.
I love this dude at his peak man. I was always scared when GSW playing them. He's a beast, driving the lane, step back 3s he got all the offensive thing u could ask for. Hopefully he come back this season strong and we see his old self again.
W man prime harden is really underrated he had arguably the best scoring season of the decade in 2019 and arguably the best playmaking season of the decade in 2017. Consistently great since he got to Houston and is one of the most underrated offensive players ever
People for some reason ignore his hamstring injury that he sustained which was a very serious grade 2 tear lol dude could barely walk after that and still tried to play but people question his heart. His season this year was very similar to Chris Pauls 2019 season where he was recovering from the same injury. The next year he led OKC to the playoffs, I imagine harden will have a similar resurgence with even better results. He'll be back
Man swishout dropped a video about the 2018 rockets, and now some more james harden praise. I love to see it. Such a complicated legacy him and his teams. They failed to win it all, due some to harden having some chokes, but also because they ran into the warriors in multiple playoff runs.
One weird year and 22,8,10 don’t sound so weird to me but you had a point he look kinda of disinterested or maybe it was the hamie either way he putting up 30 this year
@@nbagoober13 yeah man u are surely gonna make it! Short videos straight to the point with footage and your take on the topic in the background?! In a few months I'll say I was subscribed b4 u made it! Keep it up ma g!
I really respect James Harden's game. His skill level is insane. However,he was never able to put together a solid playoff run where he used all these skills he showed in the regular season and dominated in the playoffs. He never did that and that's a big black mark.
I watched a lot of his games that season and the reason I don't like how he plays is that it's so boring. Its either a pick and roll where he pops a three or drives, or an iso where he pops a three or drives. Even this highlight reel can't make it fun
If Giannis got the wall, and Curry got the box and one, Harden got the weird treatment when teams guard him sideways so he drives instead of doing stepbacks. That's when you know he's pretty darn good at basketball.
When you said the 3 point shot is the most efficient shot and the mid range is dead, you were wrong. As of this year. The 2 point shot had become more of an efficient shot to take per possession. Demar literally proved that the mid range ISNT dead.
If I’m not mistaken. He had an injury this last year and took that off season to rehab and didn’t get much training done maybe that’s what fucked him up this season but idk I could be wrong about the whole thing.
I think \the different cities he's in rn are messing with him. As well as the fans/teammates He had really become a Rocket and houstonian at that, that's why he is still so attached to H-town It's all a mental thing right now, because we've seen him drop 40+ while being fat and slow, so he just needs to remember who he is
Video is great, just want to make sure, what season did Elgin Baylor have 36+ppg? I see his best season at 34.77ppg in 1960-61. Looks like only Wilt (who did it a ridiculous 5 times), MJ and Harden are part of the 36ppg season club.
@@chanceadams7043 you're absolutely right. I was looking at the page called "NBA & ABA Single Season Leaders and Records for Points Per Game" on basketball-reference and didn't see that season of Baylor's. Just noticed that they put a 65 game requirement for a season to appear on the list, so that's why that season isn't showing. 38.3ppg over 48 games is still some insane stats though
Dudes who doesn't get turned on by MVP Harden doesn't actually love basketball. As crazy as it sounds I thought he could take D Wade's place as the third nest SG of all time on that stretch.
hardens for sure gonna have a bounceback season.. probably not houston rockets james but for sure alot better now that the hamstring has probably healed and he seems to be in his right frame of mind to win
I would like Harden, but he literally has more free throws made than field goals made for his career. Only like 30 guys in nba history can say that, and harden is the only hall of famer
@@Thanosdidtherighthing most free throws attempted between 2014-2020 1. Harden 5250 2. Giannis 3905 3. Russ 3877 4. Demar 3625 5. Dame 3460... He does not naturally get fouled THAT much more. He flops. More than anyone ever.
james harden grew too reliant on foul baiting in his prime too much that he forgot how to play once the nba cracked down on ball handlers initiating contact with defenders.
demar and harden on the same team would ve been great to see tho i agree prime harden was groatesque but he washed up way faster than demar, his mid range elite game will allow him to score for a couple years still
James Harden is a really great scorer, some casuals saying that because of the new rules Harden ddnt get much fouls now like before, i was like dude the guy is the 2nd to 3rd option on the nets but still avg 8 free throws. He is just a genius in getting a foul.
Harden is so fucking overrated. Most overrated all time for that little window of 25 free throws, 25 travels and no defense. The fact that people put him over Kobe is hilarious
What Rockets did in handing him his own team is what I hoped a team(Brooklyn) could have given that opportunity to Jaylen Brown and just love him for KD.
How is 30+ points on 30+ shots a game insansity? How is being the main factor to losing in the playoffs insanity? I’m only 21 and I’m already to old for RU-vid.
Prime James harden was a problem, very rarely have I seen a guy so good at his sport that he has majority of fans in a uproar cuz nobody could stop him, say what u want about foul baiting the guy still averaged 30 a game with adjusted stats and is one of the most prolific scorers to ever touch a basketball. Dude was a one man show down in Houston and it was electric to say the least
The nba literally had to make major rule changes because of harden. People were hating on him for basically finding a loophole in the rules and fucking the shit out of the system. Haters gonna hate, fuck em.
He’s also disgusting in the play offs. This man is phenomenal in the regular season, no doubt about that. But whenever the game counts, like the play offs, he’s an absolute trash. He just doesn’t have that gene like kobe or wade had. He’s good, but not that good in the play offs. I don’t trust him. Sorry beard fans 🤷🏼♀️
Don’t forget Kobe averaged 35.6 ppg in 2006. Dude dropped 62 in 3 quarters (out scoring the Mavs) then a few weeks later dropped 81 on the Raptors. Kobe > Harden.
Another thing is the defense, he’s a liability in the defensive in. No clutch gene, no hustle, he always end up getting his ass locked up in the play offs, he always have these garbage performances. That’s why, I don’t trust him.
