ikr, i see how that current angle makes sense in tennis, but it doesn't reflect the speed of the shuttle nearly as much as the angle from the video. bwf angle allows to see where the shuttle has landed, so i wouldn't expect them to get rid of it, but it would be extremely nice to see change of angles from rally to rally.

This Axelsen now is a totally different player than in 2018 or 2019, when Kento was in prime. He is better in all possible aspects than 5 years ago. I would argue it would be a good fight between those two. It's theoretic any way, which is a shame. Would be nice to see prime Momota again.

i think it would be a good fight but i would say it would momota would still win. for the fact axelsen won but still struggled against momota when they faced like 2 years ago. it took the full 3 games to win against momota. although his mental barrier against momota is knocked down quite a bit, it still there at least the root of that barrier is still there. it definitely be a match of the century thats without a doubt.

still can't come close to beating pre-injury Momota. It was 0-12. He was also 3-13 against LCW and 6-13 against CL. That's 19% winrate across a very large sample size. Father time and a car accident helped us know who Viktor Axelsen is because he couldn't beat anyone who had defense, net game, and court speed. Luckily for him, no one in this generation of badminton has those. It wasn't some fluke he suddenly became #1 after the other 3 got old or got hurt.

Axelsen since 2 years is in his prime. @@jayceh You can praise Momota as much as you want, Still Axelsen's prime can beat Momota's prime anyday. Nobody is smashing like axelsen is doing for the past 2 years. As much as momota was destructive in defense, axelsen is with his attack

@@RpKTANK they're the same age basically lol Axelsen wouldn't have won a single event of importance if Momota never got hurt. Go watch their games. The difference is like between professional and amateur. Axelsen is the beneficiary of an incredibly weak era of badminton. He didn't suddenly get better in his late twenties. You must be confused about when badminton primes occur. It's not late twenties I'll tell you that much.

@@jayceh It's not Viktor's fault that Chinese, Indonesian and Malaysian players aren't up to his level. For now, Viktor is winning titles and we'll see what happens next.
