This video demonstrates the proper technique for using PRIMEdge Sharpening machines.PRIMEdge offers three different levels of sharpening systems which allows you to select the properly sized system to meet your daily knife grinding requirements. PRIMEdge has systems designed for high volume, medium volume and lower volume knife sharpening needs. All sharpening systems include stone dressing systems designed to maintain roundness for long stone life. All PRIMEdge sharpening systems come complete with a PM guide, maintenance checklist, and recommended spare parts list.

*Easy to use and safe! The base grips firmly on my countertop **MyBest.Kitchen** and my knives have never been sharper. I run my knives through the fine setting before each use, and use the coarse setting only about once a month. A sharp knife is much safer to use!*

I'm really pleased with this! It works like a charm ru-vid.comUgkxDcr-y2Pf6xdnrFHrSP7dl9kpKaCozcSQ Takes less time than my old electric sharpener because it can take more off the knife faster, and then it smooths out nicely with the finer grit polisher. I don't know how long it will last before the grit wears away, but I wouldn't mind having to replace it every once in a while.

Hello wtfbbqbye & thank you for your feedback. I agree, convex edges are very difficult to sharpen, but in fact, our sharpening machines produce a “Hollow Edge”, not a convex edge. The first machine shown in the video is our hollow grinder, which tapers the edge and prepares the knife to be sharpened. Once the edge is “hollow”, it is able to be honed by simply running it on our honing machine which uses specialized spiral honing stones. After this step, the knife now has a sharp and consistent beveled edge along the entire contour of the blade.
