It’s good to see someone say they are going to make primitive furniture and not then immediately start up their table saw! Incidentally, I’m sure I saw a time traveller driving a car in the far distance in one of those shots! Lovely job. I really enjoy these videos.

Dear Ron hello Lad, oh that wood is beautiful and I bet it smells even better. My Pop was a carpenter and he built boats and ships on the St.Lawrence Sea way and we were always around fresh cut wood. My Pop used only hand tools of his grandfsther, never electric. So this is a trip down my memories watching you work this way, thank you for showing this to the youngsters, they most likely have never seen anyone work with wood like this before. God Bless you both and thank you for teaching real American history!

You would have to be a real master woodworker to work on boats and ships, due to the added water element. It's one thing to build something that sits inside but quite another to make something watertight.

Also, Ron, you need a saw horse! I nearly had kittens when I saw you cutting that wood so close to your body! You must be careful! I was afraid that you'd slip and saw off your leg!! Hi Janet, yes i need to build some sawhorses soon! asmr stands for "autonomous sensory meridian response" its a new fad on youtube where people like to watch videos that dont have talking just natural sounds, kind of like those machines that help you fall asleep with the sound of water or wind etc. Thankyou and takecare :)

Why not make another story where one of Ron's customers likes his furniture and commissions him to make something, then he gets another order and he abandons the woodcutting? He could have a little shop and Justine handle the customers too. Then they get some good money and start their forever home. Then flash forward to present and have one of their descendants bring a Ron creation to Antiques Road show for appraisal? I think Ron's talents are wasted just cutting wood.
