You'll probably want some way of latching the window from the inside, especially during rough weather. And then maybe even a handle on both sides!

I think this stone cabin is the most enduring house you have made to date. It is lovely and rustic. Love the windows!

Probably not the safest way to cut that plank, with your Achilles tendon facing it. Please be careful. Maybe put something a bit protective on when you're cutting stuff.

This is a very beautiful house, and I thank you for allowing us to watch it's progress. It needs very few improvements at this stage, but already it looks fit to live in. If I could offer three improvements? Obviously, you already plan to make baked tiles for a roof; from the sounds of your plans from prior videos, you plan to complete that aspect this coming summer. The roof as it is now is solid, so waiting shouldn't be an issue. You might not even need to remove it; the main advantage of baked clay is that it's waterproof, so having a wooden foundation to work from will give you more freedom in the size and shape of tiles that you can use. That being said, it would probably be a good idea for you to find a way to process oil from plants, and use it to treat and stain your wood and iron components. Oil will protect them from water, discoloration, rot, mold, and rust. Treating your windows, doors, and hinges with at least some form of oil should extend their lifespan for a long time, and keep them looking beautiful for longer. Finally, some form of chimney would be good for this house, either a shaft built up in one of the corners and through the roof, or a hole knocked through the base at some point, and a shaft built up on the exterior. The stone walls should be well insulated enough to keep you cool, but you don't have any way to provide warmth, and you don't have the proper ventilation to have a fire pit.

I love the look of your new house. For a tighter and more sealed fit for the window shutters, you could try using strips or rubber around the edges. Maybe carve a small channel in the wood in the window frame and place the rubber strips inside so they don't move when opening and closing the window shutters.

You should build yourself some good sturdy furniture to fill your new house and build a covered porch so you can walk between your house and your kitchen and stay dry while it’s raining. Another thing to maybe build is a small fire-heated bath so you can wash off and relax when it’s cold. We don’t want you wearing yourself out and hurting your back again.

Duong I have a great idea! Maybe one day you will create a glass for this windows from beach sand with added of a little bit of ash and quicklime to make better properties of such glass and decreasing the melting point of it.Temperature for this process is around 1000 degrees of Celsius so you could do them in your own furnace. Think about it. My job is going well. I almost finished of painting of 3 rooms in my parents appartment.

you could use Moss as a seal or gasket in between the 'windows'/shutters and the frame, to block out air, heat, bugs, light and wind. also, you could use some silicon sand in your forge to make glass then pour it into a clay mold to make your own actual windows! Or, you could ask a friend in Vietnam - from companies Nippon Rika, Lac Long, HTD JSC or Hieu Nga - as they have tons of Mi Ca for trade. That Mi Ca would be a fun window to see out, let light in, and seal your Rock Castle better! PS- I love the closed captions, nice job. Hope your back is feeling better. Time to include Mrs. Duong again! She was a lot of fun to watch doing all of your chores, taking to market and selling. Are you getting new Pigs again, or still too heartbroken?

Putting the hinges at the top makes you able to prop open the shutters with a stick so they keep the heat from the sun out and they work as a rain guard, and closing them is much easier.

so while using your foot to clamp is pretty impressive, i recommend forging what is called a "bench dog" or "Holdfast". you can find tutorial here on youtube, but basically its just a bar of steel bent in the shape of a 7 and you drill a hole in your bench, and set it in , clamping your work by tapping the top with a hammer. holds work really well and only takes a couple minutes to forge

Loved your hinges and the windows look good and solid, the door a nice fit too. The only little problem I saw was that opening one window completely would partly cover the window beside it. Duong definitely needs a water powered sawmill. If the creek does not have enough current then he should generate stronger current as he did with the electricity. Make a reservoir somewhere up and when you need to saw something - which does not require many hours working - you just release the collected water from that pool and it will generate enough power for 10-20 minutes to drive a sawmill. Probably :)

I’m sorry your first house caved in for whatever reason but this one is going to last a very long time.
