As an anthropologist who deals with much the same information, I am very impressed with Mr. Lord's exemplary collection of artifacts, taxonomic identification, and even the reproductions utilizing retroengineering, including his knowledge of lithic technologies and skillsets and knowledge of climatic affects on geologically produced clevage points and strata. I'll be looking at Mr. Lord's channel more frequently. Thank you for an introduction to him as well a your well-produced videos of building ancient dwellings. Cheers!

Yes, please do. More of the raw life craft of aboriginal peoples would be much appreciated. There are tribes using extremely primitive ways to get through daily life all over the world. This would be a great series to investigate.

Brings back memories of a day spent with Will and friends learning flint knapping. I'd love to go back and do the bronze sword casting. I highly recomend his courses. I'm currently working on a ring (my own little hobby) made with a bronze inner, an outer face of red deer antler and set with a flint cabochon. I'm thinking of calling it, 'The ring of the Lords'. 😂🤣😂

Both Will and his father are alike in the positive reinforcement, even when things go wrong. always looking for that positive, reassuring the student and passing the knowledge on. but it doesn't feel like they are, it feels like magic, bashing rocks and making something functional and pleasing to the eye, but then something clicks and you start to understand it. And then you think about it for a bit and you lose your track and feel as ignorant as you did at the start, but then the reinforcement of knowledge comes back and you understand a little more. Both are possibly the best teachers I've ever had the pleasure to study under, if only for a short time, get on a course if you get the opportunity. who knows, you may end up making a bow sat next to Bruce Dickinson from Iron Maiden, he went on a bow making course with Will! I still have a spear head that Will's father Jon made for me when I went on a course. a treasured item. Still waiting for the polished axe head off Will tho! lol

Will's Earth Lodge is about 25 minutes south of me, & I'm hoping to book one of his courses in the near future. Breckland is a great region for wildcamping & other outdoors activities. My local forest is only about a 15 min bike ride away. Also, if you ever get over to Cheddar Gorge in Somerset, you'll find Will acting in the presentation that is projected on to the cave walls inside Cox's cave.

TA Man - one thing you need to try with your ration pack puddings is heat they up. They have a lot of fat or lard in them, which when heated makes the dessert really soft and fluffy. Infinitely better than having them cold as bricks. It took me a while to learn!

He made an excellent point about this sort of experience helping with mental health. Living in cities and working in offices has left us disconnected from nature, depriving us of the primal satisfaction you get from creating something with your own hands and accomplishing something tangible. Impressive as it may be, writing an awesome piece of code can't scratch the itch that digging a hole or chopping a tree does.

Overall, on RU-vid, there are not many folk who you can point to and say "there is a master". Be it masonry or milling or cooking et al. I can point to Will Lord and say THERE is a master of pre-history. Of course, asking him he is sure to say he is only a student and still has many things to learn.
