@iacobogallus2110 I do consider TP as the best rider ever. But without any doubt, Vingegaard could beat him at the tour. Both of them in best shape is the dream of all cycling fans ,
@@roberthotter7008 for the tdf next year it really depends upon how much better can Jonas get for next season. I say that because the version of Tadej we saw this year was far better than he was in 2023 and if he is going to improve very much at all for next year I don’t see how Jonas can improve enough in one offseason to not only get to the level Tadej was at in 24 but to surpass him
10 sec in and the first wrong „fact“: Roglic‘s Vuelta victory was not the first grand tour title for Bora-HansGrohe! That was the Giro 2022 with Jay Hindley
Roglic has beaten Evenepoel, Pogacar and Vingegaard in big races - as far as I know the only rider to do so; but time is not on his side and Pogacar has improved quite a bit and is avoiding the mistakes he made in the past. If Pogacar stays healthy I don’t see ANYONE beating him in the TdF
6:27 "I took Vuelta a little bit under pressure" I don't think this is correct translation. He meant that he had to somehow force the Vuelta, to give it more than 100% to win it (considering the circumstances) and this took the toll on him and he was completely empty. I think the confusion comes from the expression "forced". If you are forced to do something, I guess that's the same as being under pressure. But he didn't mean that he was forced. He meant that he had to force it.
Rog did win the Vuelta but beating who? It was similar to Pogacar's Giro except one was won by chasing O'Connor the entire way and the other by dominating every state from start to finish
I think that in 2025 the focus will not be TDF.. and I think that this is the only right and the only way to victory if it is intended for him. If it's not ment to be, that's ok...he is and will be the king, the king of hearts...which Tadej will never be, not in that sense.
@@gregmarcus3064remco had better numbers than Rog during the tdf. So objectively speaking, Remco has a bigger chance than Roglic (who is now 34 years old compared to a 24 year old cyclist)
@@fan-2sport-nf3sz Ok fair enough!I just don't like the guy since his hissy fit when a fan was just tailing him while riding. What a diva! Let's just enjoy the show. Surely not cheering him on.
Was this written by Roglič (or Red Bull). I just don't see him being able to win the TdF (or any other Grand Tour) if Pogacar, Vingegaard, or Evanapoel are there. I hope Tadej goes for the the Giro, TdF, Vuelta triple, because having done the grand slam this year I think it would cement his best ever legacy and this might never be done again by any rider ever. Either way despite being very good I think he'll try to win Grand Tours that others avoid, and I just can't see him winning the TdF, his crashes aren't just bad luck they're bad positioning and poor bike handling.
@@davidgeissler8620 Remco was stronger in the tdf (look at lanterne rouge which is analysing the power output of the riders). Remco is also a better tt rider now.
Agree with all the below comments , I still feel that Primos was a miss for Ineos. Primos would have been a leader to ride for until one of their talents developed
Bora needs to invest in a super strong domestique, but it's up to the budget. Unlike the UAE, which has all the money to buy the best rider in the world, the UAE domestiques were the best I've seen in years. They are super strong and unbelievable. No words can describe it.
It is so easy to bet on TP, but Vingegaard was extremely impressive in springtime, and the crash ruined the rest of his season . Like TP's Tour in 2023. Hope they will show an epic fight in 2025, and there won't be anybody to stop one of this supreme class
Vingegaard is very much within Roglič's range, if he is healthy. In 2023, he would have beaten him on Vuelta if there was no team politics involved (they would both beat Kuss). That's the main reason for leaving Visma. Pogačar would be hard to beat, he is on another level even compared to Vingegaard. If there is no bad luck (health issues), I don't think anyone can match Pogačar in next few years (or more).
Was this video sponsored by Red Bull? Utterly ridiculous suggesting a now 34 year old Roglic has any realistic chance of challenging his younger and stronger competitors. He will always rely on Tadej, Jonas and Remco to be absent, like this season's Vuelta
@@albertocontador1381 I don't know. I think this year might have been the turning point for that. At the Tour, Remco was better than Roglic on most of the stages and the only time Roglic was stronger was on the Puy Mary and Remco ended up catching up with him
yes, maybe you are right. But at the tour roglic crashed out before the real mountains stages began and at the vuelta roglic was really good and that after his tourcrash and the problems with his back.
In my opinion the 2025 tour will be a fight to the death, Vingegaard will focus all of his season for the tour and pogi know it so he will try to improve his performance even more, but honestly there is no way that Primoz can stand up to those two aliens.
He IS a great rider. The only problem is Tadej... And maybe his positioning in the peloton. But I am thinking that Red Bull makes some progress with him since the Vuelta.
If pogacar has an ordinary season next year it will show he is human (would be expected after such a dominant year) bit if he excels it proves he is doping (Mechanical Doping IMO). Primoz will be competetive. But he hasn't got a hope keeping up with the pog.
Even if Primož does't crash next year and his preparations are perfect he can't beat Pogi or Jonas. Yes, he can beat Remco, but not the other two. Third place is the most he can get at the TDF. Ad acta !!!
Pogi and Primož are my compatriots. I love them both but I'm also realistic. There is no way Primož can beat Pogi...NO WAY...considering nothing goes wrong. Pogi might become THE GOAT of cycling, which he is proving year after year. But I wish the best for Primož, he's a great athlete and person. We Slovenians are a little "weird" sometimes. The older generation is for Primož, the younger generation is for Pogi.
More or less the truth… but I am 60 and totally for Pogi, from the ‘19. and Tour de l’Avenir a year before. It has nothing to do with years, more with a sport knowledge. Media had a pretty big influence, at the Tour’20 everything was prepared for Primož to win. A film has been made, a book has been written… so for some people Tadej winning it was close to a tragedy. They took it personally. A whole nation. Now, 4 years later it’s clear, Pogi is on his way to GOAT , he is on another level, comparing only to Merckx.
@@radokostanjevic5478 I agree. I see that you're also may compatriot if I look at your name "Rado Kostanjevec." I,m also over 60 and my heart goes with Pogi since 2019. What I don't like is that some Slovenians are either Pogi "haters" or Roglič "haters." It's actually sad. You can love one, but don't hate the other one.
@@zvonkocafuta9989 totally agree with you. Yes, I am Slovenian, too. All this hate started exactly at the moment after Pogi has won the ITT at TdF 2020. For some a “wrong” Slovenian won the Tour. Stupid, but it’s true. For them Pogi even now is a traitor. This I can’t understand, too, because it has nothing to do with sport. Pogi won fair and square on the road. Glad to see you are an older generation, understanding what sport is all about. Because haters don’t. My heart is with Pogi all along, but I have never been against Primož, either. Let the best man win, that’s all. Wish you all the best.
Well..don't call me old 😂😂😂 I'm Rogla fan for ever..and I know a lot of children that are his fans allso..age is not a factor..what you like about a person or sportsman in this case is...or who your parents or spouse adore 😉..we don't need a drama in a familly.. don't we 😉. Jokes aside..two of them are very diferent and is normal that suporters of each one are different..some can admite that at the time Tadej is better cyclist (I can) some can not..but that doesn't change who true fan support..not everythin is about winning..even Tadej, as good as he is, won't be beas at every race that he start..but true fans will stay and support him..that's the wonder of sport..
"Barely won". Totally wrong, he attacked when he pleased and just did enough to beat him, he could have won more stages but chose not to. He also did record numbers on 2 stages.
I actually think that Jonas, Remco, and Primos could beat him if they have good team mates who can get them up to speed I mean Pogi is normaly going solo so if you have 2 riders with you pogi shouldn´t be strong enough
Pogi is solo in the end, because noone can stay with him, that means Vingi, Eveno and Rogla included. So where would these 2 domestiques come from that would be able to follow Pogačar, when he is on the move?
It looks like he will go to the giro next year instead of the tour He needs to think of the 2014 tour when nobody thought nibali could beat froome or contador who were way ahead of him But they both crashed out and that opened the door That’s what roglic has to believe in I think it’s pointless trying to win the giro again
Roglic might be able to beat Evenepoel in a grand tour, but not including a crash or other something of that nature, ain't no chance he will ever beat Pogacar or Vingegaard for that matter in the tour, it just won't happen.
That's the mindset of the mediocre and hence why there aren't a lot of champions, it is irrelevant if he wins it or not but having tried it until the end requires determination and sheer will, rather than laughing it off I'd invest my time learning from the efforts of someone, mocking someone's dreams is petty and pathetic.
if he knows what TP is taking to enhance his performance then he has a chance. so long as he does the same this is not about training or marginal gains. TP pulled a "landis" on his last 4 races......and many other times. not normal. anyone who thinks TP is clean is sadly living in a fantasy world
No, he has crested a few years ago, he is on the downward slope, usually on his arse. Tadej is head and shoulders above Primoz, when they compete Roglic loses
In the military world, we have to showcase our drug allergies on our placards. In all the top team contenders, I will say the acronym is "IDGAF". In short, it says... "Give Drugs. All the Drugs."
You can't deny redbull bora had a somewhat good season for a start and despite being far from Pogacar at least they got data on how much Roglic has to improve, it is a given that Roglic's ambition is to win the tour so we'll just have to see how much improvement he has to make to be better at next year's tour. Whether he is succesful or fails we'll have to see. I do agree though that Pogacar is way too strong and has figured out a formula to win grand tours so he has a lot of work to do if he is to beat him.
@@matthillard9363 there is often a little bit of competition. Remco doesn’t win every race he enters. There’s always legit competition for him. It’s not the case for Roglic. He enters the races everyone knows he’ll win. It’s honestly not a bad strategy. Never race anyone you can lose to (us amateurs call it sandbagging)
Roglič will beat Pogačar? Please pass along whatever you are smoking!! Roglič can't even stay in his bike! In addition, you mentioned how his wins this year only came when he was racing races Pogačar WASN"T RACING!!
He's falling too often. He's not dominant in itt nor the climbs as in past years but it's to be expected as a guy ages. His tactics were good in tdf but the fall was embarrassing. It was completely lack of attention he went down. After next year bora will need a new leader. Hes not competitive against jonas or tadej anymore. He has great support in vlasov, hindley and martinez yet they can only take you so far. Pidcock has proven at ineos hes only out for himself and won't ride for others. He's a liability more than an asset. For primoz riding where tadej isn't is the best strategy for wins
@@bobo-ph6xm yeah redbull wow. its same team, same manager, same riders... and yeah first grand tour title for red bull...boss is also new sponsor the milestone for ralph denk to win his first grand tour was the giro 2023. the sponsor are only necessary evil
The only way that Roglic will beat Pogacar is if Pogacar falls and abandons the race. But wait, that's Roglics forte. Roglic only won the Vuelta due to there not being any other real contender.
Don't forget that pogacar came to the Tdf exausted after winning classics and giro!Jonas, like Fuente a couple of years mountain climbing with tough gears that have worn him out.
@user1qaz2wsx3edc yes...but Jonas spent 3 weeks in the hospital with a punctured lung and broken collar bone and while he had some good stages he was inconsistent due to his lack of training and was timid on the descents due to his crash. This would have been a much different TDF with a healthy Jonas.
I agree, it wouldn't have been easy, but peak Jonas was not there in July. At his peak it would have a lot tougher battle. Maybe Tadej would have won, maybe Jonas would have. Hopefully we can see them all in top shape for TDF next year.
