Just watched the 'Scoop' on Netflix and I have to say that it almost looks like certain government agencies are trying to turn this Sam woman into a celebrity. How often do producers get interviews on TV shows, made into documentaries/films, then release a book? I can't think of many to name!
Sam McAlister is self made women. She lawyer that was working part time for the BBC. She then wrote a book "Scoop" to promote her lecturing tour. So there is no government support. She one that promoted herself it call "Capitalism". Government what you some kind of "Communist".

If you write a book, the publisher launches the promotional campaign, gets you on TV to talk about it, and markets it to film studios to get a movie deal. The government doesn't have anything to do with it. If you don't write a book, but you might have a good story to tell, a publisher will connect you with a ghost writer to write it for you. This is the world of publishing
It is standard practice when a brand new streaming series launches to interview the people behind the scenes who are portrayed in real life by the actors on the series. What is the problem? There is no "government agency tyring to turn her into a celebrity". She is not any sort of celebrity - she wrote a book and was portrayed by an actress in a streaming video series - big deal. Everything is based on documented FACTS so why do you think there are some sinister forces in play?

I am sure they were all very happy securing the biggest interview of all time. Prince Andrew is just the case of wrong guy at the wrong time mixing with the wrong people.

Ever cross your mind why his government files have now been sealed until 2065? Since he received taxpayer funded security due to his taxpayer funded position as a "Trade Envoy", surely there are security detail records which could clear his name, no? No, otherwise they would have been tickled pink to produce them.
