Though can't understand this lang, but I confess it sends me deep to be thoughtful with respect to our African ancestry. Can't stop listening to Edo traditional music. Just part of my life early and present music. I can remember locating the distributing shop at Ojuelegba Lagos in the early 80s. Long life Edo traditional music.
The song is about two princes of Bini Empire..the one Aruan is a giant and the brother from another mother was the second.. they both were born same day but the giant was the eldest and lack knowledge and wisdom.. but he was a warrior and a general in the Bini royal army..to cut the story shot he was not crowned by the kingmakers knowing he lacked wisdom.. they chose his younger brother over him in the 15th century.. But the kingmakers couldn't believe what happened next..a great civil war began,in the end the giant and his loyalist were killed.. many ran to modern day Akure kingdom till date.. they're now called Edo Akure people..they still speak Edo and speak Yoruba too.. Just a summary
