Harry is locked in the past and is still lamenting for his old self (age 12). Harry lacks the capacity to be objective about Diana’s death and just keeps pitying himself and blaming the press. Being popular and in the limelight comes with the territory of being a public figure and Diana knew it. Harry knows it too .. yet he and MM flaunt themselves by calling the paps to let them know where they are and can be photographed at. They are selling everybody’s souls … including their own. It’s so ironic that Harry can’t live by British poet Henley’s poem Invictus and it’s famous quote: “I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul.”. Harry’s cluelessness is a stark contrast to William’s common sense.

I lost my mother at the age of 37 and I was devastated. My stepmother has been a loving parent since 1975 and acted like a loving parent. Losing my mother to a terminal brain cancer was devastating as I watched her rapidly die before my eyes. My stepmother was there for me to comfort me. Harry does need to grow up and realize that life is hard on everyone living on this planet. I still miss my mother but I moved on and continue to live my life.

Hello Kathryn, I was blessed with a step-father who actually loved his step-children and didn't say so often, but his ACTIONS conveyed that affection and concern,100% of the time. Thank God for him and my mother. It seems to me that Harry uses his mother's death as a way of justifing his bad behavior through out his life and almost like why babies suck on pacifiers. Lots of officers struggled at Sandhurst, it is not an easy place to succeed in! Even Montgomery was demoted during his time there!

​@@nickjung7394 He "struggled" long before he got there, with teachers doing his course work for him so he could pass his school exams. He didn't have necessary number of passes or the passing grades to even get in. He was given a free pass because he was the Queen's grandson.

@@ZsuzsannaBudapest his bad behavior was concealed, Palace PR ran interference with journalists. There are many instances of his bad behavior if you care to look for them. He has never been the laughing, easy going guy that has been portrayed. From childhood he was jealous, naughty and hard to control. There are videos of Diana trying to rein him in. He has nobody to cover for him now and we are seeing who he has always been.

Nobody can protect yourself from yourself. Not even the beloved Queen.
