I kinda agree, when looking back on the old days of jamaica, like in the 1930's jamaica looked like a peaceful and happy place. with a butt load of tourists. but i know for a fact that if we never gained independence jamaica would have been 10 times better and more racially diverse.

As a Jamaican, i am most certainly neither colourstruck nor class struck. And many of my fellow Jamaicans arent. But it is true, some of us still are. In every society, there are negative issues, whether it be this, or something else. The good thing is, we are always warm and welcoming to everyone, not just white royalty.

The bank tellers now are pretty diverse - dark, light, male, female. Back then it was only young femaile brownings. But really, a bank teller job is no longer anything that people aspire to. Now, you may not be color struck or class struck, but for you to say that our fellow jamaicans are not is untruth.People in Jamaica prefer browner people to black, you know this! Come on now people! I do agree that we shouldn't make too much ado about meeting royalty. But does this young man deserve to be hated for the evils of his ancestors? Regardless of how awful the British monarchy has been to black people, this young man's mother has tried to make a big difference in the world, and he and his brother are trying to do same, as far as I know. Why don't we wait until he has personally done something awful before we condemn him?
