William and Kate initially were ok, but *when they met*, which is well after they initially started dating, that it was a clash of culture. I think that’s what it reads as anyway. I think the sit down chat was after the wedding, 2018. They started dating 2016. So that’s two years. It isn’t a big deal that there was a cultural difference and both sides might have made errors or been surprised by certain things. But as time moves on and he wants to marry her, it probably became a bigger issue. It’s fairly common a lot of these minor issues, when people marry into families. When they come from different cultures it can be harder to fit in. They’re not a big deal… until the tabloids get hold of them because their ‘sources’ were told to pass it on.

What I see is that selling his family seems to be a very lucrative business for this couple. The interview with oprah, the Netflix documentary, the book, and an interview in 60 Minutes (which I think he did to promote his book) makes it extremely hard to believe that they want a private life! So according to Harry the only reason why his family had some negative opinions about Meghan was all because of what the press was writing about her? It had nothing to do with Meghan at all? Its like she can do nothing wrong in his eyes, it sounds like there is much more to the story here. They were all living on the palace grounds and M & H says they spend time with W and K. That makes it really hard to believe that everything negative they might have thought about Meghan wasnt based on their own perception of her. I think William comes across as the protective older brother trying to reason with his brother and trying to make him see things from other perspectives. Maybe William got really desperat when Harry didnt want to listen. Everything Harry says about William confirms this even if its told out of his perspective. I do believe that Harry has some childhood trauma besides his mothers death that is causing him to do this. Growing up in an institution like that is not normal. Monarchy doesnt belong in a modern world and I hope that Harry doing this will weaken its existence over time. Harry has said before that William and Kate gave M a very warm welcome and that they treated her very well, all of a sudden its the opposite. This is the case with a lot of things Harry and Meghan says or more or less everything they say. But I think especially the american audience dont see that, in their eyes H and M are just two celebrities doing what celebs do. The 60 min interview was different from the itv one focusing for example more on the trauma of Dianas death and also the military. This was clearly done to engage their american audience especially. It feels very manipulative, Harry has a really good pr team for sure.

I think a large part has to do with her unlikeable personality and how narcissistic and victimized she tries to come across. I find the family's scepticism quite understandable. But he's also not consistent. He says they were all sceptical before they met her and how hard it is to change that prejudice. But then he says that his father liked her when they met. So I guess his father did change his mind. If his father is not so fond of Harry's wife now, could it be based on their interactions? Could it also be Harry's wife's fault? That never seems to be an option, does it? She never makes mistakes.
And they did not like her because the media influenced them. Wait he previously said RF planted and leaked those hateful stories in media. So what is it? He cannot keep his mind straight.
He gave an interview in the beginning where he said HIS family where the family she never had. In their engagement interview THEY couldn’t praise Catherine and William highly enough for all the support they’d given them. But as is normal with narcissists nothing is ever enough. As far as I’m concerned the engagement interview and the interviews now are poles apart. So one of their stories has to be a lie. If his family were leaking stories - where’s his proof.
