I wonder how often he sat back and thought about how many hours of joy he brought people. I mean he plays for 3 minutes and everyone there has a story they'll tell their grandkids and the smile on their faces will never fade. Rest in perfectness.
+LJ808 I must disagree... he ALWAYS respected the musicians he played with! He NEVER stepped on ANY creative 'toes' & always played true to THEIR songs!!!
I always heard Prince would randomly go up to stages and play. I have a friend who told me that back in the 90's, Prince once went up to a piano at a jazz bar in Miami Beach and played for 2 hours.. He said it was the best live music he ever experienced.
He truly was music 24/7 ... imagine writing a song a day for more then 45 years ... he spent 4 hours sleeping 20 hours making music and performing music... to me he was an is still the greatest to ever do it... his sounds during the 80s upto signe o the times wich In my view is the greatest ever musical album made , he was on another planet , no one has come b4 or after that can compare to his talent work rate, constant innovative creativity , his humanitarian work etc.. RIP purple king
+gabzz72 talent and decades of HARD WORK, dedication, and singularity of purpose. There's a lesson to be learned kiddies. Pick one thing early on, and make it happen. However, Prince was born to a musical father. It helps to have it in the bloodline, but don't let it not being there stop you.
+gabzz72 +foto21com Mind you if all the idiots in the audience who clearly know zilch, would just shut up, it might be possible to get a better idea.. C'mon Kiddies, screaming and yelping during his solo is no measure of what he can do. It is however, an accurate measure of your mindless stupidity.
Prince knew how to orchestrate an entire band whether his band or a band he decides to jump in and join. He had the language of love and music DOWN. Funk, blues, rock, jazz, ALL of it. You name it he did it. GENIUS. I know the band members will never forget this moment. Watch how he brings it all together. I love seeing Prince but it wreaks havoc on my heart.
Only the purple one could just turn up, take the guitar, completely steal the show, have everyone including the band eating out of his hands and completely drawn in to his energy and just leave like nothing ever happened leaving the entire building in sheer disbelief. What a moment that must have been!
GOOOD NIGHT .. that guitar is off in some corner smoking a cigarette quivering saying don't touch me right now - mouthing the words "call me" as Prince struts away.
Prince was about turning up the musician's attributes and you can see it on stage with this band, following his signature marks of a band leader! They sounded really good!!
OMG!! Prince just grabbed control of that entire band and gave its guitar player a good and proper lesson in showmanship and walked off the stage. If I were in that band, I wouldn't know if Prince just "blessed" us or just "dissed" us.......
Still remember the first time I heard him on the radio. I thought WOW! Turned out to be four decades of that. Thank you for the music you shared with us and I am sorry that you had to go so soon. Love. Peter.
That's Prince, he walks into wherever he wants to and plays. You listen in awe and then bow to the master and legend! I'm sure there isn't a club in the world, that they wouldn't let Prince into.
A modern day Beethoven, there will never be another artist like Prince, a once in a Lifetime artist, special, thank you for sharing your gift of music, Prince!#PurpleRainForever!
Cannot wrap my mind around the fact that he has left this earth,, but then again I know he believed in God and the after life and knew It was amazing... I know this. Party on in Heaven Prince.... I can see Jesus jammin with you.!!!
Such as a sad sad day, and a huge loss in the music world and beyond! Such a gracious human being, and Prince helped so many artists get their start, and he collaborated with so many, produced for many, played many instruments, wrote beautiful lyrics, and in many cases just jammed with others in the moment on many occasions (like this video shows)! I am deeply saddened and we ALL will miss an iconic musician/producer/and just overall humble human being! R.I.P. Prince, we will continue miss you very much, and this loss is really tough, but we will all remember you for all you gave us for 40 yrs, and your dedication and your unique talent is like no other, nor will anyone be able to measure up to what you did for the music world!
I love this video. I'm glad someone recorded this. I love how Prince masters his art. I love how he conductes the band and they keep up responding. I love how respectfully he inspires the guitar player.
Curious; did anyone in that room know that this was PRINCE playing that guitar?? Unbelievable improvisationalist! A real genius! Not to mention the piano and all the other instruments he could play!! He will be greatly missed....what a loss to us all to die so young. I'm sure he is in heaven jammin out to Jesus, and Jesus snapping His fingers to the beat with a big smile!!
The world has lost a legend and heavens band has gotten on more amazing player. Prince was incredible. At one time musicians actually knew music and could play instruments!
His music will influence college students for all eternity! Thank you for the music PRINCE. We will miss you. You were truly a gift from GOD! - College Web Media
How blessed were those people in that room, to have witnessed and shared that special moment in time. With a legend in his on time. 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 Prince literally created a vast library of thee greatest soundtracks to our lives… ….his work is eternal….
He was a Jehovah's witness and believed he would rest in the grave until the resurrection, where he will get to jam with Hendrix here on earth. Who knows Scott, maybe you will be here too to get the chance to see it.
look at that amazing man. A couple of minutes on that stage and he's leading that band as if it's his. This man is a musical god. We are just mere mortals to his genius.
Prince was an exceptional true talented Artist the music world is a shambles without him not only that prince was a kind gentle man who gave his all on and off stage and made people feel better about themselves Rest in paradise prince we miss you the world misses you and ur talent
He was a very gifted man, he was also a hardworking man at practicing his art. Should be an inspiration to put down your phones and pick up any musical instrument and create anything.
Absolute genius. If this band hadn't been good, he never would've gone up there. They must be good. Wish we could've seen the very beginning though and how this came about. This may have been around the time he did the New Girl tv show because he has the same hair style. 2014. I wonder why he was kind of shaking his head a bit as he walked off. Maybe they hadn't followed his direction? They were probably numb!! Mad respect for the man. Miss him greatly. Never another like Prince. 💜
Prince is an awesome guitar player as well as playing keyboard, drums, bass, dancing like james brown etc ! those of you slating him don't know shit your probably average guitar players at best any decent guitarist would rate prince he has influenced other guitarists and musicains alike! this is not his best playing to say the least he's just jamming with the band go see him live or check out his solo for while my guitar gently weeps! The guy is musical genius end of story!
such a sad day for all of his fans but his music lives on. There will never be another 1. R.I.P u will be truly be missed by all your fans, gone too soon
This place isn't a concert, more like a little venue, or inside of a hotel Prince most likely was staying in. Seems like he was passing through and jumped in while the band was playing. My goodness, what a surprise to have PRINCE interrupt your band, jump right in and start playing with your guitar....for free!!! Holy shit!!!
