Prince of Persia: Epilogue walkthrough 9 (Final). 

Fucking Ubisoft "hey let's make another Prince of Persia game with a snarky prince and beautiful princess trading witty dialogue and having chemistry together as they spread light through a damaged world. And then, at the end let's make the girl die, but then he'll bring her back to life and she'll hate him and the bad guy will win and she'll leave him alone in a dank ass castle". Was the writer going through a divorce or something?!

So this DLC ends in a cliffhanger too!?

So basically, the end is "Ahriman is too strong. There's nothing you can do about it. There's no hope left. Everything is lost. The end." ...I don't even know what to say...

It would have been a lot better if The Prince had said, "Bring it on" at the end

haven't played the game, but fell in love with Elika and has been following the story ever since. sucks that this reboot failed, the end is totally a cliffhanger and i go to sleep angry. then I dreamed of something really weird. After Elika gone, Prince ran away and hides himself from Ahriman. Looking at the world dying, he lost all his hope. Until someone came and gives him a chance to return to the past but he cannot warn Elika (or PoP4 will not happen). The Prince accepted it and he got back to 10 years before PoP4 happened. Having the knowledge of what will happen (and to save Elika), he wanders and gathers every knowledge/help he can find throughout the world. And boy he did it. After the time comes (10 years has passed), he arrives at the place where PoP4 is happening. He plays along throughout the journey and once Ahriman rises = that's when all the help he's been finding appears (including finding Elika's people), making Ahriman mortal and finally succeeding killing Ahriman. Then, all is well. The prince, having matured during the 10 years, decides to move on. Or maybe stays with Elika IDK. So who gives the Prince the chance to return to the past? It was him all along. He survives the Ahriman ordeal, discovers the sands of time (after 20-30 years), and uses it to return. Happy ending (at least for me). Now I can rest.....

So, the original game had not a real ending, and then they made an Epiloge as DLC, that only has another even more unsatisfying ending, even knowing that this game would probably never have a sequel. Genious.

So just finished the original game and I loved the ending to it. Yeah, not everything is happy in the end, but it was very powerful nonetheless. This ending? No no no. First thought that popped up: "Ubisoft. You intended a sequel to this you bastards." And of course, 5-6 years later, the PoP franchise is still considered done by them. :/

Is it just me, or does Ubisoft have this obsessoin with shitty hopeless endings in thier games recently? Assassins creed and this one just made me annoyed, I almost wish I didn't play them for how frustrated they left me. Oh well. >w> I'm sure plenty of people like these endings.

You guys are freaking butt hurt. The end is fine. The only realy thing that sucks it's there will never be any sequel cause all "fan" was mad. This game is one of the best of the series.

This ending is great, I have no idea what the hell you're all on about. It's great that it doesn't deliver you a direct forward lullaby sweet dreams ending. There should be far more open endings like this.

The epilogue and Forgotten sands are merely snacks, keeping fans hungry,anticipating. The POP sands of time was legend, but it was the past. Let bygones be bygones and move on to a new chapter. I'm quite sure that they are already working on the sequel, I mean, there are so many hints of a continuation. How could it end like this>

Wow, that ending was almost as disapointing as the old one! Maybe they plan on doing a sequel where the Prince and Eleka continue on their quest to destory Ariman once and for all. I know there's a lot of people that still love the classic PoP but i kinda like this new incarnation. Nolan North give a great perfomance aswell and makes this Prince a very memorable character.

i believe the ending flows naturally from the main game...i really enjoyed this PoP far greater than others ... i'd say that this game is one of the most beautifull and satisfying experiences i had in gaming and the ending just makes me want more...it gives it an epic fantasy novel feel.. i pray to god ubisoft continue with this and release sequel to this...i plyd on pc so did'nt play epilogue watched it first here...well played mate

or one of them realizes that the only way to stop Ahriman is to go back in time and prevent elika from dying in the first place and then link up with the previous prince of persia games

It was obviously planned with a sequel in mind, maybe made into a trilogy like the Sands of Time. And then everyone was a little bitch and complained, so it'll probably never see the light of day...

@GMRedWing Never. This is not part of the Sands of Time storyline. This is not even the same "prince". Ubi decided to ditch the old prince and storyline and do a new one. On kotakuDOTcom (do a search there using this line "prince of persia ben mattes") there's an interview with one of the producers, where he explains that this prince was meant to become a prince during the games as opposed to the old Sands prince.

Wow, she didn't even take him at least away from the place, not even by a bit. I have no idea why they had to ruin the beautiful ending of the normal game by this if they weren't going to make a sequel, and the closest thing we got was a DS game which only made things even more worse.

It sucks, that this is only on Xbox 360 but I at least hope that they will be dome with second part of this new POP game next year. I really hope because I like this game.

This story of the Prince of Persia feels a lot like that of Prince Rostam of real Persian legends - the Iranian mythology. Prince Rostam lost his horse in a Turan province and got into an adventure in an attempt to find that horse.He met Princess Tahmina during this and they beget a son named Sohrab.Prince Rostam had to return to Persia without his son and Tahmina. Though both Persia and Turan believed in Zoroastrian faith back then, but still then Persians thought Turans were mostly corrupt and pleasured in materialism and ego based land wars. So, after many years when Persia went into a battle with Turan, he fought his own son unknowingly - Sohrab , who headed the Turan army and tragically killed his own son to end the battle before being defeated by fatigue but broke down once he discovered his son's identity. This story is halfway there on similar lines - The Prince loses his Donkey Farah loaded with King's ransom and comes across these set of zoroastrians who have a corrupt kingdom on their hands and required the sacrifice of their princess Elika.This Prince saves Elika but the princess knows that emotional attachment to the Prince would get in her way to the devotion for her people,so this Prince is let off the hook and has to return to Persia alone too.....

well its obvious from the ending that there will be a sequel.now they are finished with forgotten sands maybe they ll make it.i think it will be interesting if in the sequel you will have control of elika as she searches for her people in order to stop ahriman.

I really don't see the value in DLC. The physical games themselves have at least some face value: I.E, you can return the game for store credit or just sell it on Ebay. With DLC, you have nothing to show for it, say for $10 out of your pocket. This could have been added into the game, if they had just delayed the release by a few months. Big let down by Ubisoft. Thank you for putting the video up, at least I got to see it. I'm taking mine back to Game Stop.

This game was a freaking masterpiece! It was kinda repetitive and had a bad ending (original and dlc) but i loved it. I hope theres a sequel to it at some point.

Also,I read somewhere that the Prince thinks he's found a way to deal with Ahriman once and for all in the Epilogue. Is it ever explained how?

It depends on if people want it, or to me more specific, the fans who want it speak louder than those who hated the ending and/or epilogue, cause that's the decider. Either way as a Ubisoft fan and a PoP fan I'll love any possible sequel

Man, I kept hoping a sequel would come to continue where the cliffhanger left off, but noooo. Though I still have a sliver of hope. A sliver. I'm still waiting.

@mystervj It wasn't poetic, it was SHIT. When the game asked me to undo everything I had done after all those boring and repetitive levels I couldn't believe they were being serious. I went running through all the god damned desert looking for what to do, but the only thing was the trees. There should have been 2 endings: in the good one, you find Farah and walk away sad but having saved the land. In the bad one, you cut the trees and everything dies, including Elika, or both of them.

So in the end this prince really get's fucked over. He stumbles upon this whole mess while looking for his donkeyt, but decides to go along with everything (cause let's face it, Elika is fucking hot). So he helps her defeat four corrupted beasts and cleanse the entire goddamn kingdom, only to have Elika end up having to sacrifice herself. So he decides to revive her in exchange for dooming the entire world, but she stills ends up ditching him. After everything he never even gets her ass...

I miss the flow of the old battles from the first three parts, all this blocking instead of dodging and using the environment to your advantage (aside of letting people be defeated by gravity), but I liked the end of PoP4 - it's that "big mistake" you usually hear from in games' openings when you ask yourself "why the hell would anyone do that, it's not like they'd survive in the world afterwards" I just hope UbiSoft improves a lot :S

And here I was hoping that the ending of the DLC would be better than the ending of the actual game... Of ocurse it screams sequel, but if they do make one, I sure hope that it won't be as repetitive and tedious as this POP. If I ever have to go through another quick-time-press-the-right-button-but-it-won't-work-on-PC sequence again, I'll go crazy.

Maybe Ubisoft is planning on making the sequel for this game for the Xbox One and Play Staion 4.

Yes and no. It is a small continuation but not all of it. Most likely there will be a sequel to this. No one knows when it will come out, but the timeline will most likely be when Erika leaves the prince. The Epilogue is not available on the PC only on the Xbox and PS3.

The only good thing that can be said about this game's ending (the epilogue or the original one) is that, at least, it doesn't involve any ridiculous Dan Brown tinfoil conspiracy bullshit, so it is better than anything from the Assassin's Creed series by default.

They made a dlc for their cliffhanger ending which same dlc also has cliffhanger,what a stupid move

ME3 is considered bad because the choices we made aren't that matters to the ending. AC. yes it's story is great, but well I fear what will happen to AC now they want to include another story from another assassin, I mean, I thought if they not start with desmond's story in AC III it would ruin the ending of AC revelation (I won't spoil it in case you haven't play/finish it yet), but well, perhaps I spoke too soon

You mean that they made a DLC that was "exclusive" to consoles, that costed an extra 10 dollars, just to have the SAME incomplete ending that the original game had? Because i really don't see the difference from going to renegade prince that saved Elika for love, unleashing the apocalypse, to Elika saying "My people need me" and flying off into the distance leaving the prince to his death. REALLY Ubisoft? I'm losing faith in games... So much potential just to get kicked in the nuts, like ME3...

Let me get this straight, because the Prince resurrected her, Elika herself came to realize there may be another way to defeat Ahrimin, learning that her self-sacrifice may have been entirely pointless and has been given a second chance at life. Yet she continues to stay mad at the prince for bringing this to her attention by undoing her foolish mistake and leaves him to die? I hope this guy fucking GUTS this woman in the sequel!

@bladerj No it didn't fail.POP 2008 was a great game.Sorry to disappoint U and forgotten sands was a big let-down. Sands of time trilogy was legend but would it be wise to continue branching out the franchise when knowing that it has already had a happy ending with all questions answered? Of course the DLC is rubbish seeing that UBIsoft didn't really put much effort into it. It really is a feeble attempt to suck money out of players.

Well, now I'm ever so slightly less bummed about Ubi's dick move of not releasing this on the PC - it's not worth the anger. Took me longer to sit through Prince of Persia's real credits than it did to watch through this thing, and the story it tells isn't even all that good. I hope Ubi will get their heads out of their asses and stop ending games on cliffhangers. Or denying DLCs.

Damn.. Im angry.. Still no news about Prince of Persia 2 or some damn sequel. First, I wasnt able to play Epilogue, and now they will leave PoP just like this? Without ending? When we dont know nothing abou "Prince" who is tomb raider and actualy, is not a prince. But at least I know that all that "death" thing is overrated and you just see white light and then nothing, thanx Elika... -.- an FU for leaving Prince alone...

@dragonstyle88 My disappointment stems not from this ending, or from the impeding sequal (although that is a bonus). No, my anger comes more from the fact that ubisoft thought that that selling a game for full price without its ending was a fair business move. A word to the wise developers. If your gonna make a game with a story. GIVE US ALL OF THE FUCKING STORY. Do not pull this bullshit with DLC, becuase thats just lazy and a greed bullshit move.

@HowlingFjordEU well i think they r stopping to make games for pc as they are easily hacked and at the same time they sell less than ps3 or xbox360 versions but u have to accept that ubi are the best at this point of time. assassins creed, pop, splinter cell are some of the best franchise at this time. i love ubisoft though their drm is shit and i have stopped buying thier games

Well, this left a sour taste in my mouth. She jumps off the balcony, The End. The original was 100x better than this... joke. Since the new game will return back to the Sands storyline I doubt we'll see a sequel to this any time soon. Too bad, I liked the characters, Elika and the Thief of Persia. Thanks for the upload, I'm glad I don't have a console otherwise I would have considered buying the dlc. Now I need to play through the original ending again to erase this from my mind.

Ok I rate this game overall a 7/10. I think that they are going in the right direction and Ubisoft never cease to amaze me by keep on trying different things. But it seriously fkn shitted me off when the game just ended randomly and you have to buy a rip off epilogue for another ending that's going to be again continued. Seriously it's really dodgy how alot of the games nowadays are doing that. Such a rip off.

For some strange resone I always think that people won't make a big deal out of stuff like this ending but thats just hopless dreaming I guess why does a game always have to have a "happily ever after ending" I can understand feeling for clifhanggers it's like a cheep tool to get people to buy more witch is why I don't play Kingdom Hearts that and you have to kill 20,000 enemies to go to the bathroom in that

Thanks for uploading.But DAMN this sucks!! First Ubisoft screwed us all by taking the real ending out of the game to make console players pay even more, and PC players are left alone as always with an incomplete game. Assassin's Creed had a cliffhanger, anyway Altair's story was kind of finished. But then while POP's first ending is the worst cliffhanger ever seen, the second one is just the same! What the hell was this fuckface Ben Mattes thinking? We don't even know if we'll get a sequel!

Completely different realm to the Sands of Time Prince. This isn't a prince. He's a metaphorical prince of the desert, and she is the Ahura Princess. This is a game which follows a different storyline too - in Sands of Time, the Empress was the highest tier of being but she was in human form. In this game, the Gods are incredibly majestic and create an obvious and even daunting challenge. It's not before or after PoP last gen - it's a completely new thing from the same developers.

Well... That end is leaving much... Let's hope for a sequel!!! Why Ubisoft dosn't put endings in their games??? ( i mean... Look at Assassin's Creed! Well that will have a sequel hopefully :P) Anyway. Man thank you SO much for uploading this! You rule! It would be awesome to have the dialogues but it's ok! Someone else will do that :P Let's just jait for the sequel (I think they will make Assassin's Creed 2 first but that's ok, i;m waiting for that one too XD).

I did not find the game easy - some bits drove me insane as it was so hard! Glad I didn't have to waste time on frescos and stuff though being on the pc - a bit silly in the middle of a rush up a wall to have the game stop and say I had found something - big deal - I can do without that - I would just have liked being given the epilogue to play on my pc!

Well,I agree with everyone that the cliffhanger is annoying, but I think they set up pretty nicely for a trilogy. You know, the world is on the verge of getting corrupted, the Prince is left alone being hunted by Ahriman and Elika is trying to find allies to their quest. And hell, Elika was one of the greatest characters I've ever seen

Oh, man, this sucks big time! I mean, the first ending was OK when you think of it - Ahriman would have escaped anyway, so, even tho it turns out all the work was for nothing, it was smarter to unleash him and have Elika alive to fight him..... but this is simply... wrong.... :/ The fucked it up... Hope they fix it in POP5 :)

It's got that shocking, steep cliffhanger ending the majority of the PoP games have and it was somewhat romantic I guess. But people weren't satisfied, i mean just look at all the people crying about how bad the original ending was. Yet they bring this out and it can't close up the story, and no one is satisfied either way. Can't please everyone sadly =s

yes all assassin's creed story are interrelated to desmond and the 'present day'. but AC changed your character from altair to ezio (don't worry, you won't be disappointed), and now AC III to connor. you only just finished the first AC ? you still got a lot to do my friend, go and get the sequels

I think. Trees are switches. If you cut, the energy does not reach the temple, although fertile grounds are well. Ahriman is stronger now, maybe, by having the body of Elika's father. More slaves, more power ... maybe. Or maybe, simply he has more practice for escape XD

@dragonstyle88 You're kind of naïve if you believe there will be a sequel! This game didn't sell that much, even though it's great and Ubisoft won't invest in it if they don't expect profit. It's sad but the sequel will probably just remain as a vain hope in the minds of some gamers...

Ok that really sucks.... so they have two options: 1:They manage to talk to Ormazd. so that he is killing ahriman... 2: The Prince gets back the sands of time to undo that hole shit ^^ I don't really like it that the prince is just an ordinary human and always depended on Elika...

ill have to admit if I just had the original ending that would have ben better not saying that this wasn't good its just that the original left more to the imagination... But anyway I look forward to a new Prince of Persia and thanks for all the walkthroughs^^.

cool nice walkthrough i own the pc version so i didnt had a chance to play the epilogue this really looks like a challende, the game was kinda easy if you ask me, only challenge there is collecting all light seeds. looking forward for a new prince of persia !:)

@Madzarzour Wrong.......this was a reboot of the franchise, it failed, they went back to the roots with the last one,and will continue from there.

Thats the ending of the epilogue,i thought the ending of the game was stupid but that is even worster than the ending of the "original" game!
