I wasn't expecting much from this game, but damn was this a fun play. I didn't realize how much I missed playing a fun metrodvania game in a long while.
I did not expect Ubisoft to actually make a quality game that wasn't just another open-world sandbox checklist filler. Then again, this is Ubisoft Montpellier, the studio that made Valiant Hearts, Beyond Good and Evil, and the Rayman series, so I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. THIS is the kind of game that the company should be focusing on, but unfortunately, The Lost Crown is the exception to the rule. It's also one of the first games to be dubbed in Farsi, which is cool.
I can see the Metroid Dread inspiration in those cutscenes. That being said, I’m surprised it took this long for them to do a Metroidvania with the “Classic” 2D Prince of Persia format.
@@user-ok2sm8me8d Vahram is King Darius actual son, not Ghassan and if I read the subtext right with Thomyris line of "to secure my bloodline" and how she reacted when Sargon left may imply that he is her son and not Ghassan either
@@CRSB00 It is the twist of all twists. Vahram is King Darius' son. The queen's first sons had been assassinated so when her last son was born she swapped him with another child (learn this from the Hermit) and raised Ghassan, who was a fake prince. King Darius says "I smell the blood of a traitor" when you meet him, because Sargon is the queen's actual son. So you are playing as a prince, albeit a usurper prince.
That game remind me of the Strider remake years ago (bosses' introductions with descriptions). Also the amulets remind me of Star Wars Jedi Survivor (pick few perks to customize Cal's performance). Great game.
Anyone else thinking Vergil from the Vahram fight? The laijutsu stance, the Judgment Cut attack, the power up sequence that I'm surprised didn't include a transformation, his constant teleporting, or the fact that HE DID A FREAKING JUDGMENT CUT END at 16:27!!
Orod should be playable I love his move set. Bro is quick as hell for his size and his magic/energy attacks all hit hard with good A.O.E. Orod is definitely my favorite character especially after he casually mentions how he crushed Hercules like it was easy. I usually don't like the brute/muscle of the group, but Orod is done extremely well.
The game looks so good but character looks dumb, It should be better if the character looks more of a prince of persia in 2008. Maybe they can make a game like Fatal Fury but with this graphics reminds me of Terry Bogard. I admit this is the best version of prince of persia ever made.
All classic games improved, gow, resident evil, mortal kombat,and...,prince of persia was a great game in ps2 era,and now it's just clown of the games.it's sad...
You do know Prince of Persia was more than just the Sands of Time Trilogy, right? This is a remake of the first Prince of Persia game that came out back in the 80s
No, no, no!!!!! I don't want that game, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown because it's really lamest! Delay this game right now because I really want that game, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake for PS4 is really coming out right now!!!!!😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫
Why are you comparing two different genre and judge it as the better than other? 😂 If you want to compare which one is better at least do it with same genre smh. Fot example Prince of Persia > Blasphemous > Metroid Dread
