A reminder to the readers that Ubisoft Montpellier (the creator of this game) is one of the best studios from the company: - OG Rayman games and Rayman Origins - Beyong Good & Evil - Valiant Hearts - From Dust - Peter Jackson's King Kong
@@Dracobyte I wholeheartedly disagree. I played the 360 version. It was a solid enough launch window game, with super easy cheevos, but it was not a really good game. Those Rayman games are excellent, though. I actually recently started playing the PS4 version of Legends.
I would’ve gladly paid $70 for all the smaller titles Indies or otherwise that I played last year cocoon dredge sea of stars chants of Sennaar Dave the diver Jusant eyx
Because $20 is too much for anything but GOTY metroidvania. Seriously if you’re charging that much better be GOTY contender. Otherwise there’s a ton of similar games for half the price.
Totally agree! Should have went with the Assassin’s Creed Mirage pricing model. Would’ve been perfect @ $39-49 tops! Regardless of quality $60 - 70 is way too high!
Nice, I didn’t really care about the game at first but after seeing the gameplay and knowing it was made by Ubi arts I am differently looking forward to it. Thanks for the review Noisy pixel 👍🏿.
Good review to a good game. The only thing I massively disagree on is that the Metroidvania genre doesn´t have magnificent bossfights. Ori and the Will of the Whisps, Hollow Knight and especially Metroid Dread are three examples, which are at least on par with this game when it comes to bossfights - with Metroid Dread being minimum one level above this quality even.
Refreshing to see review copies being sent out with reviews up a week before release showing confidence in their product. Demo dropped today as well which has me hyped for getting to play the full release next week. Thanks for another great review @noisypixel
Glad to see the Rayman Origins/Legends developers back. Legends is one of my favourite games of all time and it's great to hear that this game has even a semblance of its insane fluidity. Looks like a great game in general.
This game couldn't come at a better time. I've literally only played metroidvanias for the last 2 months. Roughly 40 of them, and now im gonna get to play one made by a non indie developer of a series im very interested in.
Mannnnnnnn dont get me started im getting this game (on switch - great review btw N. Pixel), like a dragon & persona 3 and a card game primateria (indie card game w fusions) but i refuse to purchase anything until NP give it an 8 or higher. haven't let me done yet w thier reviews
About the lack of color vibrancy… can’t you just tweak your TV’s colors? Or try your TV’s presets? My Vizio has a VIVID mode that makes anything “pop”!
I turned off the demo after 10mins. Bland all around, but the worst part is the lifeless and empty environments... just so much space filled with nothing. In an attempt to make the world grand, it's only made the player seem so small. I'm surprised people are liking this after playing the demo.
This is from Ubisoft Montpelier....if you knew their releases or checked them, you would really really really struggle to find a more creative set of titles in the AAA publishers in the west...Rayman, Beyond Good And Evil, King Kong, GRAW, From Dust, ZombiU, Valiant Hearts, Rayman Origins/Legends. Yes it's a 'metroidvania' but this team has plenty of panache which is why this one looks so good. Also...Prince of persia is awesome so it's good to be back.
@@trinigooner8865 Im not your "bruh". And "lazy" would be race swapping, for easy accolades from professional gaming "journalists"... I have no doubt the reviews will have nothing but praise, lol
