They do such a good job with the Japanese films, and the British ones too, just too bad they didn't get to do enough of them. Though the editing of these episodes is very tedious and time consuming, the hardest part by far is actually trying to rank them all in a somewhat non bias order, and in many opinions Prince of Space is one of many that can easily be pushed up a bit higher on the list (though some people surprisingly can't handle it because of how bad it is, though they might not fully get the point of riffing bad movies). Some of the more recent ones I've done (now up to #37 with still so many great episodes to go) can arguably be much higher, but that also goes to show just how closely so many episodes are and making them all nearly impossible to rank correctly.

@@wileyschmitt I guess we've all got our favorites. I think "Prince of Space" has some of their best bits. But I'm just a huge MST3K and Rifftrax fan in general... can you tell??? LOL

I think the idea's supposed to be that their weapons DO work on Prince of Space, but he's too fast for them to hit. If their weapons didn't hurt him, he wouldn't bother dodging their shots. That idea was probably lost in the translation from Japanese to English.

Katelyn Rushe - “Too fast” to hit him? Isn’t he usually just standing there with his little retractable wand pointed at them when he declares that their weapons are useless? Clearly that has to be some sort of shield or reflection technology, rather than being fast? Or do you mean fast to get out said wand thingy?

Bit of a translation error. It's not that they don't work on him, but he's quick enough to avoid them. This it's useless to try. Basically he's taunting them.

Same with the book I'm about to finish today (The Man in the High Castle).
